SO MUCH WORK.
Holy cow, I am DYING here. SO MUCH WORK. But that's ok, because honestly, it makes me feel better to be swamped than it does to have too much free time.
I'm working on a project in which I have to watch a listserv. I chose a political group. Here is what I found:
"The Patriot act comes up for a vote
again in a couple of weeks and now George Bush can go on TV and
announce how we need the Patriot act approved now, with all it's new
provisions or else he won't be able to insure our protection. And
while the Democrats will make a lot of noise (mostly just to hear
themsleves) they will vote to approve it because they won't want to
take the chance that we get attacked while the Patriot act is
sitting in limbo and they get blamed. Another predictable power grab
by the administration by scaring the American public. I know the
tape was shown on Al Jezeera and I'm confident our government had a
way of
> getting that done. They probably have people on the inside all
over Iraq or else paid someone to do it like they did with the
newspapers articles. Maybe even made the tape with a look-alike or
it's an old tape they were holding just for an occasion like this.
This was all so predictible and appears so staged I'm amazed anyone
is alarmed by it.

will go on TV about the dire danger we are in, there will be more
credible cahatter and our color code will change to orange red, or
heightened yelow or whatever signifies we ought to start panicking
and begging Papa Bush to save us. Before I get jumped on here I'm
not a liberal, I'm a moderate. I'd vote Republican if they would put
someone like McCain in. But this crew is a disgrace.

I'm scared. Seriously. I don't know whether the idea of a great government conspiracy scares me more or the fact that there are people out there who concoct stories like this because they just don't want to believe what's happening. People on the inside??? OF AL-QUEDA? I'm sure. No wonder we can't get anything done.
