(no subject)
it's pathetic when you update your livejournal before you take a shower after being on a mission trip in Virginia the past week. le sigh.
the week was astounding. amazing growth with God. was amazed at the beauty of the mountains. was amazed at the people that he works through to touch me.
there were highs and lows....although the only low i can think of is crying myself to sleep on thursday night but that was just different i guess. hmm some of the highlights were all the hiking we did. and it was hardcore hiking like "the only way to get up and down is to crawl and slide". my legs were a little sore. i got to throw a pick axe around and build a deck and paint. i got to shove cake in Jaymes' and Brad's face but then Brad shoved a handful of sloppy joe in my hair and face as well. i can still smell it too. (i'm going to shower soon.) going on walks with chelci and steph and then with jaymes was a big highlight. maybe not so much the first time because i was so scared of being hit by a train, but they got better. umm another big highlight was falling into the river. yes i slid down 1,000 feet of mountain terrain to stick my feet in the water of the river and then proceeded to fall in. it was fun and definitely memorable. the bad part is that my camera got wet and didn't work the whole week so i'll have to bogart pictures off of other people.
probably the best part was being broken by God on Tuesday night. he definitely showed me what i need to change in my life and i'm happy with that and i hope that i can continue to live this way. He's restored a hope inside of me and a refreshed spirit and i'm very happy about it.
alrighty, time to shower, then head over to 3rd Johnny to watch the Newsies in Chelci's room.
