Everyone has a private and social self. They told us that in 6th grade Health class. Stop worrying about people figuring out your game since everyone has their own game to worry about. Just be you. Everything else will fall into place.

My opinion, Fuck that noise. Let the internet Leah live. She's your alter ego. Where would superman be if someone did an eyeglass commercial with him? He's still be flying and kicking ass. You need to face that fact that you don't really know these people and if they give you shit, they can vanish.
Also, you may come off as dim arm candy at these functions, but who cares, someone might bring up your music or something you really are interested in and then there you go, you'll never shut up :-P
I guess what I'm saying is, keep playing the game.
