Home sweet home

Well, I am back here at home. Made it here safely with two fish and many bags with ceramic presents. Oh, what a Christmas this will be. Well, as always, I am a bit too tired for many words, so I conserved a few thoughts in a poem. Enjoy all my devoted Live Journal writers.

Sifting through possessions,
that I stuff into big bags,
Soon I am on the road,
driving a long distance,
to see my loved ones,
for the holiday season.
I arrive home to familiarity,
the only thing missing is one person,
the one man in my life,
my beloved Tomerly.
Getting lost in the holiday buzz,
my thoughts can't help but tread,
on the one person I miss the most,
the one who I cannot touch,
which seems unfair to me.
But alas, I am use to distance between.
And I know that the love I am in,
will allow me the strength from within.
I get lost in friendly chatter,
while my thoughts wonder,
hoping that the days go by faster.
For as these weeks go by,
I will soon see him again.
My one true friend,
my companion,
my beloved Tom,
I will see thee again.

~for my dearest Tom.

Well, I hope everyone is well and that there holiday plans are on schedule. Keep the candles burning for me, for I need light in these darks hours. -laughs- I don't know why I just said that, but it sounded pretty dang good. -smiles- I think Jessica is getting back into her writing moods. So, coax me, I dare you! Well, I should get off to bed. (Thanks Tom, your bed comes in handy when Sydney has her gaggle of girls over for the night)

Nighty night, don't let the bed bugs bite.
