I came away with similar feelings. I don't quite think the vs. Lex story counterbalanced the emotional reunion story..which was intended, but it seemed to not work as well as Singer had hoped. I think it had a lot to do with the wooden acting of Routh. His first lines in the film were delivery unbelievably poorly and having never been super happy with the guy playing him on smallville I was suddenly appreciative of the acting on TV.

Saturday, IMAX...CGI doesn't bother me so much as a reliancei on CGI as THE thing about a movie...I know from all the reviews that's not something worry about here...and fuck, I'm going to see it in IMAX precisely FOR the CGI, so look who's willing to compromise his values when it comes to a man in blue tights....
