[drabbles] NEWS album-inspired stories
What has happened to LiveJournal? In the last few days I couldn't post anything because the icons on the kitchen sink were missing. ><
Oh well, late-posting this. 4 drabbles inspired by some songs in the NEWS album. The fics aren't necessarily related to the meaning of the songs. I was just inspired, you know. ^^

1. Title: 2 and a half (OC x OC)
Will you marry me?
She stared at the faraway view, her big eyes seeing almost everything. It wasn't particularly foggy at the moment so she's delighted by the sight of skyscrapers towering at the distance. The weather is clear, so does her future.
"Will you marry me?" The man in front of her asked for the second time, a little louder than the first. he repeats because the one he's proposing to is not paying attention at him.
"Hey, will you--"
"Yes!" She finally looked at him. He doesn't react.
"Yes!" She said twice. But why is this scene getting awkward?
"Ye--"
He immediately pulled her and presses his lips against hers. The kiss lasted for seconds, a slow and passionate one.
"You made me propose two and a half times!" He said, scratching his head, when they finally pulled away.
"But you made me answer two and a half times. Now we're even."
The weather is clear, so does their future--Love given as a whole.
2. Title: HERO (Shige-centered)
It was a disaster! Tegoshi broke his leg; futsal match. Koyama lost his voice, 'over-talking' or 'over-MCing'? Well, plain overused. Massu has cough. It would have been better if he only caught a cold, but the virus was severe and he also acquired cough. Now Shige is the only 'normal' left and he swears he doesn't know what to do.
Despite their manager's "KEEP CALM, THE STAFF WILL HANDLE THIS" words he went out of the arena, running through long halls and glass doors. His impulse was to personally talk to the fans waiting outside and apologize for another disappointment NEWS gave--well he wasn't really the one at fault but NEWS IS ONE so he has a part on this too--so he ran, arriving at the last door gasping for air as the fans gasped in surprise. Shige-san right in front of us and it's not even the concert proper! Why??
"Minna," he started. Of course it was a weird situation and though he tried nothing came out from his mouth. A minute passed and at last, like magic, Shige spoke without much effort in front of hundreds. He was apologizing, bowing, assuring everyone NEWS will make up for the loss. As he thought he failed at speaking in public, such proud were the faces of the staff, proud on the thing Shige had done.
He felt sweat running down his forehead as he looked at everyone. They have mixed expressions he cannot comprehend, but he knows they understood, at least. A kid broke the silence by saying a cute "Shige, you saved the day!". Tegoshi patted his shoulder. He looked at his back and was surprised NEWS were there; they were actually there all the time!
"It was unusual of you, but..." Massu coughed, "but thanks to you, we're saved."
Koyama just smiled at him. He wanted to talk--it's the fact; but he has no voice at the moment--also a fact.
He turns his gaze to the fans again. The fans were looking at NEWS, their smiles and teary eyes gave assurance of love and forgiveness. Nothing's wrong now because Shige, of all people, became their hero.
3. Title: Not Letting Go (Tegoshi x OC)
He did mention he's afraid of fireworks.
But for the strong Tegoshi Yuya, he tries to conceal it to everyone who he thinks doesn't know that fact including his lover who's with him in this festival. Yet she knows about this and laughs whenever a sudden shot of firework lights up the air. Tegoshi would slightly cringe, and hold her hand tighter. She slowly wriggles her palm to remove her hand from his but he would pull her close and realizing it was pretty much annoying, she decided to stick with the too-tight-entwined-hands thing.
They were holding hands most of the time, the couple didn't mind but the people around them do. She smiles with a hint of shyness but that's just because she's giggling on the inside and tries to keep her cool, while Tegoshi is all-cool saying things about him and his girlfriend, the girlfriend who he never wants to let go. As he says this he squeezed her hand again. She almost trembled in happiness but she managed to let out a simple chuckle. And a blush on the cheeks. Finally Tegoshi removed his hand to receive a gift from a friendly monk, but right after he took a bow at the old man, a big bang--firework!--scared the hell out of him. He immediately clung unto his girlfriend, losing all that poise.
"Oh, Yuya," was all she could say.
After the festival, they decided to stay at his place.
He watches her washing her hands on the sink, careful and slow. He stares at those soft hands.
"I'm afraid of fireworks." Tegoshi suddenly spoke.
"Yes, I know, it's too obvious!" She laughed, "That's why I'm rinsing my hands carefully 'cause they were all sweaty from your hold."
"It's no use, I will still hold your hand later when you sleep."
"Eh?" She let out an embarrassed smile.
He smiled at her too. "It's simple. I never want to let you go."
4. Title: Who are you lady? (NEWS gen)
The dance was hard. Painstakingly hard. In a matter of an hour or so, what they can follow is the first minute of the piece. They can't even do that first minute properly.
"Do we really have to do this?" S muttered. His three companions heard his complaint.
"Yeah, this drives me up the wall. Making me go nuts. Giving me something to curse. And curse this mission, I never wanted to be in here in the first place." K, the blabbermouth of them all, explained. Now he gets an irritated look from T.
"Shut up K. Just do what the boss says, and whining isn't a part of that."
"But admit it, you're also sick of this mission, aren't you?" M said.
Before anybody could speak again, someone entered the room. The figure was taunting, hips were swaying, lips seducing and eyes like fire igniting. It was total hypnosis, the four of them fell to ground. The figure is a she, a devouring she. She pulled a string connected to the only light bulb on the room, causing the thing to flicker on. "Why are you dancing in the dark?"
Then there was light. The four angels were stunned to see a beautiful devil with nothing on except her horns.
A/N: not beta-ed. So sorry for the mistakes! Also, these drabbles were written on the night before NEWS concert (Thursday night), so for the 2nd drabble 'HERO', it was just a mere coincidence that I wrote a story about NEWS cancelling a concert, and the cancellation of their Saturday night concert. I have nothing to do with this LOL~ xD
