This weekend my parents came down to meet theljless's parents. I think it went well. (except for when dad started talking politics.)
Sat we went to a fiber sale (kind of like an estate sale for weavers and knitters) May I never get to that point in my life (or maybe I should pray that I do) they had foot locker after foot locker FULL of sorted fiber and yarns. They lined both side of the driveway, one side was double lined, once to face the drive, once to face the yard. The sidewalk was double lined, also.
Then there was the patterns and fabric filling the entire side yard. One of the boxes that paper for the printer comes in was Full to the top of zippers.
This was the third sale they had done. This was the leftovers. I don't know where she kept it all. When we left they were still bringing stuff out. I spent $90 2 lengths of wool 3 yds each, 2 patterns, and Lots of string!
Then breakfast at a cool kiwi cafe - http://www.cassattscafe.com/ then a turn around great falls.
Evening was meeting with the other parents.
Sunday theljless joined us on a trip thought Shenandoah caverns and a trip to the Civil war museum in front royal, and of course, burgers at spelunkers. It only made sense to eat there after a little spelunking trip of our own.
After the parents left it rained, we fed syph, and played robo rally. Stupid Drunken robots. He won all three games.
