Whoa. I should really catch up with myself. So school has been pretty chill. I haven't really stressed over anything like I used to in the middle of the year. I don't want to jinx it so I'll stop there. AP Art History work is all about Creative Process and I really enjoy it. So far, we completed 3 projects: Repetition of an Animal (I did mine on owls and the theme was insomnia), Mosaic (I did mine on love. Typical. But I procrastinated so I don't really mind.) and Disappearing/Metamorphosis (I painted this box and showed that our imaginations disappear as we grow older. I liked this one). We have two more projects: not a painting and the altered book. Ms. Graham said, 'I find that when students work on something personal, something with direct meaning to them, they tend to do a better job." Yee.
SATs tomorrow. I didn't study at all and I don't plan to. It's not that I'm careless or over-confident.. I just think it's stupid to cram the night before. Hm, what else? I made it into Varsity Cheer! I missed it, and well, I tried out. I'm thinking of going out for captain and cheer rep. (ASB). Expect a lot of variety on this year's squad. It is no longer Asian Invasion!
College is coming in a year and even though that seems like a lot of time it really isn't. My mom and I mended our relationship and I'm glad for it. I hated fighting with her all the time. It made no sense. Yesterday, she told me that I could apply to NYU if I wanted. And I plan to. My aunt lives in New Jersey so at least I'll have some relative nearby. But whoa whoa whoa, it's hard to imagine myself, alone, in New York City. A seventeen year old history major with a minor in musical theater. Yeah I've got big dreams. So what? I'm not going to think practically at the expense of what I've always wanted. SETTLE after those grueling all nighters? Hell no. Well this is just what I want right now. We'll see if it changes any. Dramatic writing appeals to me, too. I have a lot of ideas and keeping it to myself is no good.
Dazed and Confused is such an awesome movie. I want to watch The Lake House! Wolf Creek is disturbing to the most disturbing degree. Bambi 2 is really cute! And I love Chicken Pizziolas from Subway. The Things They Carried is written in the most.. charming way possible. Lt. Cross is too much man.
Life's good. Friends are wonderful. Thank God for it : ) LIVE AND LET LIVE.
"You are everything I adore."
P.S. One of these days, I WILL buy Degrassi Season 3 and My So-Called Life on DVD. And Dazed and Confused.
