bloody valentine
ergh... valentines day is coming up... does anyone else get annoyed by valentines day?! it really irritates me!! its just a stupid holiday, made up by the candy, card and gift companies as a way for them to build up some money after their xmas sales! and its just a way of pointing out who has someone and who doesn't, and it makes anyone who doesn't have someone feel terrible, and people that do have someone either laud it over the rest, or pity them, which isn't much better. and why do people need an excuse to tell their loved ones that they love them?! what, society is really that disfunctional that they need to be reminded to say 'I love you' ? I mean, come on! I hope someone reads this and understands what I mean, cause I start ranting about it every year and people tend to just nod and ignore me. I want to get a mass of followers to help me boycott (sp?!) it...the problem I have when I try and do this, is that if I dont send cards to my people then they feel bad, or wonder why I haven't sent them something and then i feel like a bitdch, and if they send me one then I REALLY feel like a bitch!! and I dont want to hurt their feelings..You see?!!! this stupid holiday is (a) stupid (b) annoying (c) unbeatable (d) cruel - why do we have it?!!!! WHY?!!!!! and why can no one else agree with me and see the pointlessness?! I mean, im not saying that it isn't nice when you get something, because it is, not that I get anything, but I did one year, and it was nice, and I understand how special people feel when they get something, but like i said before, why do people need and excuse or a reminder to make each other feel special and loved? why cant people do it on their own, for no reason?! its way more special then, because then its not what they're supposed to do, its real, and its heartfelt. y'know?!
