Let me say that you did an absolutely fantastic job with this bunny. Silent Hill is by far the scariest game ever, and you have done it justice. I have to say that I got choked up during certain parts of the story, something that increased with Shattered Glass (but that is something else and I shall try to focus on this story).
I thought that the first Silent Hill scene was a cross between heart-wrenching and sweet. Anyone who knows about the game or movie knows that that would be the last time they would be so carefree for a very, very long time. And anyone who is a Silent Hill veteran knows that the chances of them ever recovering are slim to none. Alessa was just a kid, but she was a destructive one.
Did Beachcomber know about Alessa first because he was more receptive or because she wanted it that way? I think that he was a part of Silent Hill even before he ran away. Will he now be running through the mist forever, sometimes encountering people like James Sunderland, Heather, and Harry Mason? Or is there a possibility of him being released? Is there a possibility of any of them, the dead and the living, ever escaping it? If they couldn't escape it in life, I hope that they will at least escape it in death eventually. Alessa just may not let that happen, though.
Silent Hill is a land of doppelgangers, though. What if... what if the Autobots who went to Silent Hill are still there, unchanged and confused, and those that were tainted by it have just become separate beings? Jeesum, the plot bunnies have attacked me. *tries to beat them away* I can't use fanfanfiction bunnies!
And the ending... haunting. Just absolutely haunting. I think I shivered when I read it.
Anyway, to sum it all up, congratulations. Thoughts of this story have circulated in my mind forever since I first read it. Not every piece of work I've read can claim that. And sorry for taking so long to comment; life's been hectic.
*bows* I'm honored that you used my bunny. I will say again that you did absolutely wonderful by it.

About Beachcomber, I can tell you that he knew about Alessa because she wanted it that way. They're all slowly becoming a part of Silent Hill and he'll be trapped there forever, like Bluestreak and Sunstreaker. The only ones that could escape her are the ones that went back to their world. Except one of them About Beachcomber meeting others from the series, I mentioned James in the fic I wrote of him, but since I've never played the games, I don't have the courage to write an actual meeting.
Doppelganger bunnies!! Must... resist... Or what if the 'survivors' were the doppelgangers? *hides from Silent Hill bunnies*

Poor Beachcomber, Bluestreak, and Sunstreaker. (Poor Perceptor too, since I assume he is the one who survived but will still be trapped for good.) Bluestreak just wanted out and managed to damn himself. Beachcomber is one of the last people you would think deserved it. Sunstreaker had Sideswipe, and he got damned in such a noble way... Alessa truly is cruel, but life made her that way.
So Beachcomber meets James? I haven't played the actual games before (I'm trying to convince my parents to let me get it), but you can go on Youtube and there are plenty of clips with him in there. You could learn enough about him to write his character... *nudge* *nudge*
*subtly points doppelganger bunnies towards hiding place* It's the same with Alessa, Dark Alessa, and Sharon. One's the whole, one's purely the Silent Hill side, and one is the purity and innocence left over or from before. *looks innocent* And I am in no way trying to breed your plot bunnies. *whistles and goes off to read Silent Hill: Search for Home*
