I've been wanting The Sims 2 for the longest time - not actively wanting (or, not actively enough to keep an eye out for it in the sales), but more of a general "I'd like a game like that" sort of thing. I got recs for P&P downloading stuff! I have a bunch of Regency clothes. Well, not a bunch. But copies from the BBC miniseries's costumes.

OOOOOH YES PLZ!!!!1 I was wondering how I'd get around the whole costuming issue, for that. I couldn't very well put Lizzie and Darcy in modern day clothing, could I?

Nooo that would be eeeevil! Evil and tempty!! I've had to hide my box of it so that I wouldn't be tempted to install it.

I have no reccs except to say give that copy of the sims to someone else to hold. YOU WILL BREAK AND YOU WILL REGRET IT!

Can't WAIT to see that Heroes neighborhood though! Eeee!

I haven't broken yet! And I don't think I will - I really really have to study.

I think that the resisting is easy for now, since I don't know what I'm missing out on. Later will be harder, though.

I just played yesterday. It's hard!! I've set so many fires in the kitchen...I think my Sims are mimicking real life.

You can resist, though! I made it through the week and I didn't even crack!

How do you get cooking books? My Sims were watching cooking TV and getting cooking level thingies, but they still kept setting fires. Because they'd have to go to work and they'd forget to turn the oven off. And one of my Sims left some food in the microwave and after that, they all refused to take the food out, to the point where the microwave has flies buzzing around it. But no matter how much I tell them to take the food out, they refuse. It's frustrating!
