HoC is so awful, yet strangely compelling. I mean, it's really well done. It's the situations and the people who are so awful. Kevin Spacey is amazing, but ew. Claire, OMG. And it's probably this close to being a documentary. Sigh. The soundtrack makes me giggle, though. All the high-tension beats for scenes that are not really that tense.
I think that site is a spoof news site, given that other articles are the new craze for oil sands facial masks and the nutritious lunches we're packing for the invasion of Syria. But, ahahahaha - the image of Harper twerking Obama is awesome, and a welcome replacement for all the Miley Cyrus images that filled my FB.
School started today for us. I don't know what to do first, now that I have my computer back and the house more or less to myself. (Mr. Tiger is working from home today.) I feel like I should go on the treadmilll, but it's already 10:00, so maybe a shower would be in order and then actual work. Good luck tomorrow!

I figured there was a high likelihood of it being something like the Canadian Onion, and yet the idea of Harper twerking Obama made my morning, because I am lame like that. Heeeeeeee

Yup, the first day is one of the few times their schedules line up. Which kind of sucks, because it means I didn't get to see A off, because J and I had already left. Woe.
I found Claire giving the Secret Service dude an aggressive hand job in the hospital more disturbing, personally, but YMMV. Not that the who's your daddy wasn't disturbing Lordy.
The acting is amazing. The relationship between Francis and Claire is so fucked up, yet. Now, THERE is a power couple. "Aren't you going to answer it?" "No, I'm done with work today." Yowzers. (Note my incredible skilz at articulating how I feel about this show. I O U an apology? LOL.)
In a side note, I guess the reason Kiefer was in town was to film a western with his daddy. So they were both here, and I saw nothing. Ah, well. I'm looking forward to the movie. I thought their project was about an ex-Nazi, so it might be confusing.

Yeah, I have to work tomorrow night, so there's a decent chance I'll already be gone by the time N's finished with cross country practice and I won't even get to hear anything about the first day until it's almost time for him to go to bed. SADNESS. They should grow up less fast, man

Nope, haven't seen the whole thing. I watched Father's Day last night, coincidentally.
I don't mind the power imbalance so much because I'm sure that Zoe is the one who will bring down Francis' house of cards in the end, because (and I learned this the hard way) reporters are not your friends. I could be wrong, but I hope I'm not.
I don't understand how Freddie has ribs ready first thing in the morning. Those are either some very fast-cooking ribs, or some leftovers, is what I'm thinking. Also, he kind of creeps me out because I think there was a nasty episode of the Sopranos that involved getting rid of someone at a rib place.
One moment of win was when they played the soundtrack of Amadeus when Francis went to the symphony after being bumped out of the Sec State position. Bwah. (I mean, I know that was Mozart, but the choice of piece was delish.)
Haven't been following the tweets, but the clouds here have looked like the opening to The Simpsons lately. We do get good clouds.

As I was just saying to marinw, my issue with Zoe is very hard to explain, given that in the first place, I hate her, and in the second place, I agree with you that if anybody is going to take Frank down, Zoe will probably be the one to do it. However, I just really loathe everybody on the show, and for a while it was comforting and then it just got gross. So there we go.
I had eggplant pasta for breakfast the other day, so I've decided ribs aren't that weird;)

My thoughts exactly.
Srsly, I thought the Sutherlands being together would cause more buzz in the Canadian News. But Donald and Kiefer have seemed to keep under the radar. With the exception of K getting drunk and taking off his shirt in a bar. Which is hardly news.

I could say a lot of negative things about Kiefer, love him though I do, but I don't think he's a publicity whore at all. I've never seen a single interview with him in which he wasn't gracious, self-effacing, and honestly seeming to be almost embarrassed to have so much attention focused on him. It's one of the reasons I find him so hopelessly attractive, goddammit!

Thanks for the photo! Looks like they found a good location. I forget whose set they used. Some mini-series thing.
