The last ep of The Newsroom made me so ... weirdly anxious. They did it in real time. It was like 24. Well in that ONE way. So one ep of News Night was going on the whole time and I just had this weird anxiousness the whole time that things could go differently than planned and it was just bizarre because obviously it was just as scripted as all the other eps but it didn't feel like I could predict anything. Anyway, I'm glad you're watching with me and glad you like the politics. The characters are far too flawed and human for you to fall in love. This does not surprise me. Nope

Probably she's there because the purpose of her powerful story arc is to lead him to Renee, who is very much alive and conceivably trapped in Russia and Jack has to find her, the peril, the pain, the hope, the rejuvenated spirit and will to live another day!
Only she's actually working with the Russians.

We all know I'm never getting over Renee, EVER EVER EVER, but I would at least be willing to watch the damn show if they handed him something from his life back. I was truly holding out hope that Elisha Cuthbert might come back. But I guess Chloe's story arc is SO COMPELLING that we just don't have time for you know, JACK TO REUNITE WITH THE LOVE OF HIS LIFE.

I think it's Sloan without the E. Which is my fault because I thought it had an e so I probably wrote it with an e while talking to you and now it's stuck in your head as the correct spelling. In conclusion, never trust my spelling.
In any case, I don't think it's weird that Sloan reminds you of you. She reminds me of you a little bit too. She just doesn't understand anyone! Ever. Hahahaha. And she tries sometimes? But never really cares enough to let it bother her or try harder. I love it when Mac is like "Do you have any human skills?" and Sloan's like "I am told I do not." You're also a little Mac because she's so spastic and energetic and anxious, but you know... really truly you're not Mac on the whole part where she's weak and selfish enough to cheat on Will, which makes you not like Mac, since that part is kinda the whole point of her character. I wish I weren't curious at all, but I AM. I mean I really want to know what they're going to do that will prove to be even mildly interesting to anyone. Everything points to the fact that most if not all of the 12 hours will take place outside the U.S., which makes me even more skeptical about Chloe's story. I'm gonna gross out so hard if she's ditched Morris and Prescott in order to run around after Jack. That would be revolting on about ten thousand levels. I guess we'll see, ergh.
