It was actually one of the more tolerable episodes of Touch.

Kiefer did a magnificent Wibble face there at the end when Dad was being led away to the lethal injection chamber.

Dr. Kate doesn't seem to be all that busy! What was up with the dumpy wardrobe? Her clothes looked a size too big. But whatever. Such a beautiful woman.

Now that we've established that Dr. Kate works with non verbal kids, and Jake is non-verbal, cue Jake becoming her patient and the ensuing Highly Inappropriate Relationship between Martin and Kate. Hey, we can all dream

I did like the arrival of Avram, Badass Orthodox Jew. He was all "I have nothing better to do in NYC than look at Diamonds, so I will babysit Jake while you go off and do stuff." And Martin was all "Ok. Thanks."

I also liked how the showed an execution from the perspective of the would-be executioner. That's an angle most shows don't show. That is ONE thing I like about Touch, it is nothing if not unique ( ... )

I think they were trying to make her look professional or something, and maybe that's their idea of how a professional woman dresses. Then again I have no idea how professional women dress, so I feel ill equipped to comment, ahahahaha. I was super annoyed at the end with the big OMG LUCY thing. I'm like sorry no, you did not earn having to sit down to deal with that death. But whatever, it wasn't Kate's death so I'm happy ( ... )

A Samsung S275. Can't setup my voice mail. I will go to a bell center and have them set it up for me cause I'm lazy like that.

Well, Avram is THE only Orthodox Jew on TV. So there is that.

Is that a smartphone? I don't know these things. N wants this crazy new Samsung thing with all the bells and whistles, and the thing is that I think with our family plan, it wouldn't cost more money per month -- just the expense of the phone. But I freak out at a 12 year old with a smartphone. Of course, several of S's classmates have iPhone 5s, and he's effing NINE. I don't even know.

I had not thought about Avram being the only Orthodox Jew on TV. Yeah when you put it that way, probably I should be less picky about his tics!

THEIR SCENES TOGETHER OH EM GEE.

I didn't realize I was like... holding my breath.

But seriously? The Lucy ending?

Also, he was her ride and he ditched her there! At a prison! I'm sure like.. I'm one of 5 people who thought about that. LOL. I was just like...WELL WHAT IS SHE GOING TO DO AFTER SHE WATCHES HER FATHER GET POISONED? I WAS HOPING I COULD SEE SOME COMFORT.

But I mean... being real, I never expected to, so mostly I'm so glad she didn't die and that their scenes together displayed her considerable acting skillz and showed a lot of depth and emotion. THAT is cool. Because so many guest roles like... don't allow for that.

I would have liked the entire Lucy storyline so much better if three things had happened.

1. Maria Bello and Kiefer had had chemistry.
2. Lucy and Martin had remained just friends, with no awkward introduction of bizarre "romance" that made no sense and only unnecessarily complicated something that could have been very heart-tugging if played in a different way.
3. Lucy hadn't died. Ugh.

Yeah, I mean of course in my ideal world, Martin would have been like, WAIT I AM STRANGELY COMPELLED TO SPEND THE REST OF MY LIFE DEVOTING MYSELF TO THIS WOMAN AND HER EMOTIONAL SECURITY; I MUST STAY WITH HER AND GENTLY BUT MEANINGFULLY HOLD HER HAND WHILE SHE GOES THROUGH THE HORROR OF HER FATHER'S EXECUTION. And then I can comfort her with sex.

But, she did not die, so there is that, and really I just did enjoy it more than any ep of Touch ever, not that this surprises anyone. I gotta DL! Thank youuuuuuuuuu.

I mean really the idea way Lucy would work in my head is...

1) Annie were Lucy
2) Lucy were less impulsive yet somehow still capable of fucking up because of how desperate she is to find her daughter
3) Martin helps her stay smart, and she helps him communicate with Jake better
4) They build a relationship
5) They find Amelia
6) They get longer than 5 minutes to reunite
7) Then Martin, Lucy, Amelia, and Jake have to be on the run together
8) And then end up starting a make-shift family
9) And Jake is happy because Amelia can translate for him
10) Then he starts to talk and Martin cries and then he's so excited that he kisses Lucy all over and it leads further, quietly, after the kids are in bed.
11) And they're always on the lookout and watching each other's backs.

BWAHAHAHAHAHA.

Well the first one would automatically solve all the other problems, srsly. And that would have been fantastic, had they not included the killing Lucy part. Ugh, I guess I'll just still be waiting for the show where all the chicks aren't sacrificed so that more dudes can have manpain.

Ha, watching/loving terrible shows thanks to the actors in them, I know that feeling way too well. Glad to see they didn't kill her! Happy whatever to you as well.

The things I have watched for Kiefer and Annie, I tell you. IT IS SO EMBARRASSING. Although I still stand by the fun of that terrible horse movie in which Kiefer is impotent and runs around saying "fuck" a lot. Good times.

I'm so damn glad they didn't kill her. It was just lovely to have them onscreen again and watch them say goodbye with a "Thank you" rather than Jack sobbing forehead to forehead with dead Renee. UGH.

Happy whatever, definitely! We really don't celebrate much save to buy the kids way more candy than they need, mostly for the purpose of later making puppy eyes at them and then stealing it back:)

If it wasn't for the horse that could be a few movies I have seen him in lol

Honestly I do love Kiefer, but he had been in some weird shit movies and only a handful of them I actually like, the rest I watched just because he was in them lol.
Why can't he get decent scripts?

BWAH. Truth. I still have to watch the terrible one A sent me for my birthday. Idk, why do all these super talented actors have to make such terrible movies? Annie just starred in some Lifetime thing about a surrogacy gone bad and I was like UGH, I know you need to pay your mortgage and stuff but srsly?

I'm so glad that they didn't kill Renee!! I might have to look up the ep online, just to see them on screen together (and skip all the rest of the ep, haha). I hope you're having a good Easter and that March is finishing up on a good note for you!! <3

OMG, I am so glad they didn't kill her. Adrienne and I were laughing about how at various points we were holding our breath, notsomuch I think because we feared her imminent demise, but just THEM TOGETHER ONSCREEN.

And I do recommend it. It's a terrible show, but this ep as a standalone was actually pretty good, and however cheesy it sounds, there was something healing for me in watching her stand there with him again. I'm so glad they did it.

I can't believe it's April tomorrow, wtf? I'm starting to spazz about the job, but hey. I'll put off that spazz a touch longer:) ♥

ETA: If you do DL the ep, could you send me a screen cap of Kiefer's wibble face when Kate's Dad is being led away? I am strangely entranced. If this is an Unreasonable Demand let me know. Thanks.
