AND HOLY HELL, I ENJOYED SOMETHING ON TV FOR THE FIRST TIME IN FUCKING EVER!!! And that was kind of fun:)
I'm exhausted, so my thoughts are even less linear than usual. However, I need to flail here for a minute. Probably I should begin by explaining that I'm not saying this is even a good show. It's still very strange and filled with mystical ooga booga relating to the cosmically connected nature of the universe and a bunch of wild made up shit about numbers.
BUT. They have 100% rebooted it, and it's a hell of a lot more interesting than it was. Last night I kept laughing as I played "Name that guest star," because the most random and hilarious people showed up. There was Michael Amador from S3 24 (playing what I think is a good guy) and Arlo from S8 (playing what I think is probably a bad one), and Helen from Justified, to name a few. My interest did wander every time the action moved away from the central storyline of Martin and Lucy (as in Maria Bello) searching for Lucy's daughter. Which leads me to my central point:
MOSTLY, THERE WAS KIEFER. I mean, holy shit. Everyone is aware of my Kiefer problems, but he has hot jeans and an untucked shirt and he's gained some weight since S8 and it's IN ALL THE RIGHT PLACES and he smiles and chuckles and is nice to people and wears pajamas (sorry I have no plans to forget about the pajamas for a very long time) and is such a DAD and beats up a couple dudes and says "DAMMIT" and "Don't move" and and and and and.
Ahem. So anyway. Basically I just needed to say that I will absolutely be watching this show for the rest of the season, and when Annie comes on I will most likely just fall off my chair and die on the floor right then, and if Martin smiles at her character, well. Chyeah. And what no, of course I didn't just replace Maria Bello with Annie in my head and read the lines as if Annie was saying them. What are you even talking about?
Other things:
1. I continue to more or less worship my iPad mini in all the ways. If anyone has nifty app suggestions, I'm always looking for more cool things it can do.
2. What do you guys eat when you need snacks that have a decent amount of protein in them? Thoughts?
3. I cannot stop laughing about the fact that the Pope resigned.
4. I also cannot stop laughing about the endless articles re: Republican infighting. Ted Nugent what?
It's super wintery-looking here, so that's perking my sleepy self up a little. What's going on with you guys?
eta: Oh and also, OMG I was making the 7x23 photoset for tumblr and I cannot even deal with all my feelings about Jack begging/trusting Renee to save Kim and the fact that he leaves her handcuffs too loose to make Tony happy and the way Renee's all checking Kim's arm and JUST WHAT? Feelings, I have them.
