I am not very observant. No pun intended, although it is also true in the Jewish sense, but I merely meant that it took me until Thursday-Friday to realize that the week during which I took off Tuesday and Wednesday for Rosh Hashanah was also the week of Labor Day Monday, so I was about to embark upon a five day weekend.

Last time we've gone anywhere was a workation weekend for my birthday in January.

Work gave me a day off on Friday. If felt like a particularly useless sort of day off, the kind in which I would likely wake up at my usual before-alarm time and would hover about the same couch (or deck, weather permitting) as every other day, sole difference being that my computer activities might involve theater work rather than work work.

What would it take for me to be willing to go to a place, I've been wondering. I am as paranoid as I am stir-crazy. I have four days off in a row for 4th of July, and visiting my father would be an option, but he's a 7 hour drive away... but no, the idea of using a rest stop bathroom along the way is a dealbreaker. Normally the holiday Monday is the day I usuall go visit Ren Faire, but this year I am feeling rather inclined to skip a year.
