So much for this weekend's attempt to finally sleep in.
Around 5am it thundered for a good 30 seconds, waking us both. Power's out, it turned out, meaning no fan or AC, and the adrenaline didn't help either.
On the bright side, we called it in, and power was back by 6.
On the less bright side, I had the 7/8th-finished Balticon report in an unsaved Notepad, which means it's time for an uber-abbreviated version: there was a con, and it was good. I stressed over doing tech, but awesome people were awesome, and it went awesomely, and I'm doing it again next year, with ideas for how to make it shinier. There was good partying some of which included good booze, and good flirting (all of the above combining nicely into a live music session at the tech gathering). Also, I got many compliments on what I wore to the Steampunk ball, and finally had the chance to wear my Regency dress (and proved once and for all that at a certain category of events I'm basically not capable of not working it even when I'm not staff).
