Author's notes for this chapter: I think I'm definitely in the groove for writing the rest of this story. It took a marathon of nearly the entire Kyoto Arc of Rurouni Kenshin and almost all of Peacemaker Kurogane to get me back into the mindset of nearly everyone. Phew. I do wish that I had the ability to draw because though Kenshin was not paying attention to what was happening behind him, his jumping out of the train and Tetsu's firing of the revolvers to scare and scatter the crowds in this chapter resulted in my own head canon's Okita, Susumu, and Seta Soujirou wearing completely baffled/hilarious expressions. Basically, Tetsu's attitude and stance was something out of the US's Old West and the days of the old cowboys/bandits scenario. ^_^
