Do any of you guys know of any decent movies, either at the theaters or on DVD, that don't suck monkey snot? I just wasted enough money to support some poor orphan in some third world country for probably a year last night, because I decided that Management sounded interesting, and possibly watchable. Now I wish I'd have paid to have the damned orphan shipped here instead, then at least I'd have an excuse to go see that new Pixar thing without worrying about looking creepy and ridiculous.
I'm not out to amass a huge DVD collection or anything, but come on. With what they charge for rentals these days, you might as well buy the damned thing used. And I hate like hell to use that Red Box thing, because if anything goes wrong, they've got your credit card number, and you're screwed. No flesh and blood human beings in there, I already tried flushing them out, which the police didn't find too amusing.
So I wouldn't mind buying a DVD, if it's halfway decent. And it would do me some good to get out and go catch a movie at the theater, but I don't want to walk away feeling like I cheated that poor little kid in the third world out of a year's supply again. I know for a fact I don't want to waste my money on that damned Angels and Demons thing, because it's a sequel to The DaVinci Code, which was the biggest load of crap I think they've come out with in recent years, not counting maybe Michael Moore's fabricated shock crap.
I also don't much want to go see Hannah Montana. Frankly, she scares me. I have daughters, LOL, and I always end up thinking Billy Ray better grow a set, pronto, before it's too late.
So have any of you seen anything watchable lately?
