I had a good weekend, the kind of weekend I've needed for a while. MtG Regionals was large and smooth. Pretty sure we were done with Swiss plus the 1 round of T8 by 9-9:30. WoW realms run at the Den went as well as could be expected. It hit the numbers I expected it to hit. Though def fell short of what the UDE guys thought it’d do. Them - disappointed. Me - satisfied.

But it was a good profitable weekend and better than that. I got to work hard scorekeeping a largish tournament solo on the stage (occasional assists from Lems) and things went smooth. That leaves me feeling very satisfied.

Lindsey spent all day Sat with her cousin and aunt and she found shoes for the wedding.

Then we picked up cedan and went out with Dudda, Brett and some of the Iowegian WoW players. I haven’t hung out with Dudda and Brett in a long time... I find myself missing time with them quite often.

Sunday I rolled out of bed earlier than I wanted to and headed to the den to make sure things got rolling there. Then back to the hotel to pick Lindsey up and go to misty North for some pickup of random stuff to bring back to Madison. We brought back a couple couches from Angelo for Ben and an MFT of random gak from the storeroom up there that I’m going to try and work hard @ ebaying the next few weeks.

After we got all loaded we headed back to the Den to help finish up there and make sure everything was set. Got a few details to follow up with for the event today but overall (outside of a couple issues caused by lack of foresight on dudda’s part and lack of paying attention on the player’s part) it went smoothly and I think everyone had a great time. Got to see brinkman. Always good to see that cat.

The drive home was pretty nice. Lots of talking, stopped for real supper at a green mill (as opposed to drive-thruing it) and turns out we just made happy hour for a $3 glass of wine and half price apps. So we just ordered a few apps for supper and it was pretty damn good. A little construction BS traffic close to Madison slowed us down by a bit. So we were 10:30ish getting home. But it was still a good drive. And a good end to a great weekend.

Thanks to all the folks that came out and set the Northern Regionals record for attendance by a solid 10%. For all the kind words from folks who said how great the event was, and for all the texts/emailed from people who said how they wished I’d been running where they were 
