that elusive "click"

I can't really explain it, but I've tried a fair number of video games, but I've only actually been able to play through a very small number of them. My two very favorites of all time were the original Legend of Zelda and Dragon Age: Origins.

It's not that the other games I tried were bad. They weren't. It's hard to explain. It's more like I never got comfortable with how the game played, and never really felt like I knew what I was doing. Every game is a system to be learned, but for some reason some systems I catch onto pretty fast but most I don't, and remain foreign-feeling to me. It's very hard for me to explain this anything but a wibbly-wobbly, feelie-wheelie sort of way, and that bugs me because I'm not normally that sort of person. I like to have good, logical explanations for things. I suppose I'll have to think on this more.
