Audibles

I just came back from another dinner date outing with Susan. My original plan was to go to the new opening of Banrai, the new sushi bar in Rosen Shingle Creek. According to random information, the date that it was opening was pushed back to August 1st. I asked around for suggestions as to where to take Susan. Fred, the head chef of Everglades, had some random suggestions, and I jokingly said that I should just take her here. He offered to make a custom meal, which surprised me. Susan seemed up for it, and a whole new date evening was planned.

The house here has had no A/C for about two weeks now, making cold showers quite awesome. The heat of the house makes my hair extremely frizzy though. I classed up my apparel with my only pair of expensive slacks and dumb black dress shoes. Susan had some nice top and whatever on. She always dresses simply but put together. She's quite slender, but beautifully slender. I never tell her that enough.

Dinner was pretty awesome. It's always good to let a chef take you on a culinary journey of taste and deliciousness. We started with a lobster and serrano ham salad, and the main course was a filet mignon with a Guinness sauce. We both love Guinness, and each had one with our meals. After dinner, we took a tour of the hotel. I guess I had to show her off to some of the servers at the lobby bar and whatnot. They all smiled a lot at me. I'll hear about it later I assume.

I took Susan back to her house and messed with her TV a bit. She was complaining about the sound level, but it sounded just fine. We sat there for a bit in awkward silence watching Ghostbusters to test her audio levels, then I just decided to leave because I'm sure she was about to kick me out. One awkward hug later and I was out the door.

Things are going pretty slow with Susan, but I figured as much. It's just hard to see the progress, but I can only assume that it is being made. She still wants to see me, so that's good. Only until she files a restraining order will I know things are bad.

Did I mention that it's 90 fucking degrees in here?
