remixes
when i was in highschool, i got obsessed with CD singles. i would always buy CD singles of my favorite artists whenever i was in the US, or when i'm here, i order them in CD warehouse. i collected a lot of CDs when i was a kid, probably have a thousand of them, and around 20% of them would probably be CD singles.
in recent years, i never bothered getting CD singles anymore. i haven't even downloaded any maxi single for a long time. for quite a long time, it felt like it was just a waste of megabyte space in my ipod, hearing the same song just with different synths, percussions, morphing vocals and extended play.. 5 to 6 tracks of the same song, and each of them 5 minutes longer than the original song..
though times have changed, it would've been a hassle during 3rd gen ipods. i would always have a hard time fitting all songs and remixes in my 20 gig ipod. now thanks to the 80 gig ipod, i can put the whole world now.
anyway, thanks once again to madonna, i am loving remixes again. give it to me is such a good song that i had to get the single. i love it! if you download her hard candy album, there are 3 bonus tracks, 2 4 minutes remixes, and 1 give it to me remix. they were really good remixes, thus, the give it to me single!!!!
