yeow! I had an excellent coffee date tonight. Matt is friendly, politically consious, smart, and supa fine. He grew up in Chicago, went to school in Indiana, and is thus certifiably midwest and 100% my type. He greeted me with a kiss on the cheek, and we each laid hints that we were scoping one another out (dropping the "I once dated a girl/guy...." line a few times)... but not in an overly serious or suggestive way.
But, yeah, tonight was definitely a date. He was meeting friends for dinner, so we only hung out for a little under two hours. But... everything in moderation, take it slow, once step at a time, (and all other cliches that mean "settle the fuck down and be patient, girl") right? We did not set up an exact time for a second date but we both agreed (on his prompting) that we would like to see each other again.
Now I will do my best not to check my e-mail 50 times a day or sit by my phone all week. Thankfully work is keeping me hella busy (I put my head down on my desk out of frustration today... but more on that another time).
