So my latest task working for Dr. Miller is to code open-ended responses for an adult survey he recently collected on scientific literacy, in which respondents had to give definitions of various scientific concepts ranging from molecule to stem cell. Today's topic is bio-fuels, which people are suprisingly on-point about as opposed to molecule last week, which was people throwing everything they remembered from junior high science into a sentence and hoping part of it was correct.
Then again, I also came across this winner:
"A term concocted by environmental wackos in concert with Agricultural concerns to create huge government subsidies to underwrite the fact that on their own it would be far too expensive to produce compared to good old gasoline just so some liberals can feel good that they are not despoiling our pristine environment."
...I marked him as incorrect, for the record :)
PS- I'm picking up stuff for a halloween costume tonight, and I'm down to deciding between Royal Tenenbaum and Senator Larry "Airport Bathroom Stall" Craig.... thoughts/suggestion on how to pull either of them off effectively?
