WHITE COLLAR *FLAIL*
THAT FINALE WAS LIKE A CHOCOLATE CAKE ORGASM. WITH ICE CREAM.
Er, yeah -- so, as must be obvious, I have jumped on the White Collar bandwagon.
And this finale gave me EVERYTHING I LOVE ABOUT THIS SHOW. Shall I make a list of the things that I loved, in no particular order? Yes, yes, I think I shall.
--EPIC MAN-LOVE BETWEEN NEAL AND PETER. Oh, that was so, so, satisfying. "Man-love" is the only way I can describe the dynamic between these two. It's not slashy (well, I would totally read/write Peter/El/Neal, but not just the two of them on their own), and it's not bromance (because they're not equals), but OMG THEY LOVE EACH OTHER SO MUCH. "What about us?" *happy sigh*
--EL BEING AWESOME. Does this need any more qualification?
--MOZZIE CHOKING UP. Awwwwwwwww. *hugs him*
--DIANA!!! Oh, I was SO PISSED when I thought they'd cut her after the pilot, and was SO HAPPY to see her back again. And she has a partner! In DC! Where they can get married! :D I have heard a rumour that she's coming back full time for S2, and I've decided that after S2, SHE MUST HAVE HER OWN SPIN-OFF where she and her partner FIGHT CRIME IN DC.
--PETER AND EL GOING OFF ON FOWLER. That was pure beauty.
--Okay, I really should be pissed that they (probably) fridged Kate -- I'm guessing her explodey death is what will motivate Neal in S2, but honestly? I can't get that worked up about it. If you're going to fridge a character, better to do it to a total McGuffin who's had maybe two or three lines throughout the whole season, rather than reducing a wonderful character to a mere plot device after four episodes of inexplicably OOC behaviour. *ahem* Yes, I have ISSUES.
--How epic will Neal's manpain be now? Seriously, who is going to write me the fic about Peter and El taking Neal home and giving him a bath? Or am I going to have to write it myself?
