I know that a lot of people didn't enjoy it, but I thought it was great. There was a bit of silliness and some things that were a little over the top, but I can forgive that.
I'm excited because I know Stephen is so big on the brain bendy, thinky plots.
Time is all odd around Amy. I mean the crack has shown up again but even in the first episode there was the whole doctor making mistakes in his timing and I know the TARDIS often does and she was in distress too but the Doc usually is pretty cool with the fact that the time was off. This time he was all insistent that it really was a short space of time.
There is also the fact that Amy's boyfriend (can't remember his name now) had a nurses badge that they made a point of and it said it was issued in 1990. Now he wasn't old enough for it to be present day time and him have got the pass in 1990 but also if it was back in the 90's then why did they have camera phones and iphones.
So when the TARDIS crash landed in Amy's yard was that normal time? Because if not she really did grow up in 5mins/a few weeks etc and time went forward too.
And did the Daleks have anything to do with the crack? Or was their dead ship drawn there because of the problems that are going on.
Anyway much to think on and I'm loving it.
It was interesting to see the Doctor more confident in his body and the way he's moving. I loved the way he went off about the Daleks. It was very 9. Now though it looks like I painted the picture based on this episode.
There was much that made me roll my eyes but then it is Doctor Who.
I do hope though that the next episode doesn't have Amy coming up with the winning answer at the end again. I don't mind it so far but it will get old fast if it keeps happening.
Ohh someone was talking about Dannyboy being Jack. Interesting idea. Many holes in the theory but I bet there will be some awesome fic.

Oh, yes, I like this theory. Like time itself got attached to the TARDIS or something, and fourteen years or whatever it was got crushed into five minutes. That's great! Lol, I wonder of Moffat is going to somehow try to explain the UNIT dating controversy in this way too. :P
lol. No idea. Though Moffat has said that the 1990 on the badge was a mistake. Hmmm. Except they zoomed in on it and it was in still photos so they could easily have fixed it.
