Silence. Staring. Then, a single eyebrow twitch.
"Wh-Wh-Wh-What?!"
"You heard me, Colonel. You have a crush on hi-"
"Yes I hear you! But that's just... impossible! He's a kid! And a small one!" Roy held his hand about four feet from the floor as if to emphasize Edward's height.
A few hundred miles away, Edward sneezed.
"Well that didn't stop you from having sex with him. Multiple times." Riza said with a stern voice. Roy stopped there. Riza was right. She always was. All the time. It was a bit annoying. Especially when your words were thrown right back into your face.

The alcohol stung at his throat and made his head a little fuzzy. But it was what Roy Mustang needed. For today, he had discovered he was a pedophile.
"You're not a pedophile..." Hughes repeated for the thirtieth time that night.
"Yes I am.." Roy slurred before he downed his sixth drink. "He's fifteen... I'm twenty-NINE. I mean.. We're not even in the ten year window! Not to mention he looks like he's friggin TWELVE."
Hughes sighed and made a sign to the bartender to make sure he didn't make anymore drinks. He then looked at his drunk friend and frowned. "Ed practically acts so much like an adult, it probably doesn't even count. But I won't say that what you did was ok. All you need to do is just... talk to him."
"I can't talk to him! Are you nuts?" Roy looked at Hughes with a frown. "If I talk to him and I tell him that I like him then he'll kill me."
"I highly doubt that, Roy." Hughes said, even though he knew it was true. "Ed and Al are coming back tomorrow in the morning so let's you and me head back to Central and get a good night's sleep."
Roy complained a bit, saying he wanted to stay and drink more. But Hughes insisted, eventually convincing him to leave for Central with the promise of mini skirts to which Roy responded "Blondes in miniskirts..." It wasn't much of a mystery as to who he was talking about. So he trailed after Hughes like a rabbit being baited with a carrot.
After they arrived in Central, Hughes was quick to take Roy to his room. It wouldn't be good if the soldiers saw their colonel smashed and wasted. Once Roy got into his room, he passed out as soon as his head hit the pillow. Hughes sighed slightly and headed out, closing the door behind him.
It was a few hours later, in the wee hours of the night, when the Elric brothers returned. They were due to return at nearly eight in the morning but they got on an earlier train and instead arrived at two am. Al wasn't sure as to why Ed wanted to arrive at a time like this but he seemed insistent...
"I'll meet you in the room, Al. I'm going to drop off something at the Colonel's office." Edward said with a yawn. Al nodded in return.
"Alright, brother. See you when you get back to the room." The large suit of armor clanged off to their room.
Edward smiled a bit before he headed down the hall, pushing some of the bangs away from his face. He ignored the guards that passed by and instead made a beeline for Roy's office.
You see, the reason Edward wanted to arrive at this hour was so that he could drop off these documents at Roy's office without the actual Colonel being there. But his plan would backfire. For as he opened the door and placed the papers on the desk, the door slammed behind him. Edward whirled around to see Roy himself leaning against the door.
"I thought you were getting here in the morning.." Roy said with a slur in his voice. It didn't take long for Edward to realize that his Colonel was drunk.
"Well.. We got onto an earlier train. Are you.." Edward rubbed his forehead. "Are you drunk?"
"So what if I am." Roy said, stepping forward. But it seemed his foot had no intentions of holding him as he fell. Edward, reacting on an instinct, hurried forward and caught his Colonel.
"Dammit, what the hell..." Edward grumbled as Roy gripped onto him, trying to regain his balance.
"You're too small to support me..." Roy complained. Next thing he knew, his face met the floor and Edward was stomping off to the door.
"Wait!" Roy reached out and grabbed the hem of Edward's red coat. Ed was forced to stop as he frowned down at Roy. After a moment, Edward moved over and reached down. It took about five minutes, but he eventually got Roy on his feet.
But Roy wouldn't let him go.
Roy had his arms wrapped around Edward's chest and his head was burrowed into Edward's shoulder.
"'Mm sorry..." Roy murmured so inaudibly that Ed had to strain his ears. "I'm an idiot..."
Edward frowned, just holding Roy and supporting him. It certainly felt like if he let go, Roy would collapse to the floor again. So he just continued listening to Roy's slurred apologies.
"Stop it. Come on. Let's get you to your room." Edward said proceeding to tow the pathetic looking Colonel out of the office and to his room. Roy fell silent as they headed down the hall and to the Colonel's room. Edward knew where it was because... well. Do you need to ask?
Ed helped Roy over to his bed and the Flame Alchemist collapsed down on the bed. But his hand was still gripping Edward's coat. So the young alchemist was pulled down with him. Immediately, he was trapped by Roy's arms that were surprisingly strong when he was drunk. So Edward was stuck, laying on Roy's chest with the other's arms firmly around him. He could feel Roy's lips against the top of his head, kissing him. This caused Ed to blush slightly. The feeling was so tender and... loving.
"I missed you..." Roy murmured against Edward's blonde locks.
"Yeah, I bet you did." Edward muttered with a frown, just glad that they still had their clothes on. But knowing Roy, he'd probably find a way to do it while keeping all the clothes on.
"No.. Not like that... Well.. Yeah like that, but because of a different reason too." Roy said before he rolled over. Ed was now on the bottom and Roy was hovering over him. "I love you..." Roy slurred and Edward blinked twice.
"What are you..." Edward looked at him. "You're drunk.. Just get off of me." He frowned and moved to push Roy off.
"No! I'm serious!" Roy snapped, holding Ed down. The Flame Alchemist's eyes were still fuzzy and drunk, but they held a certain something that caught Edward's attention.
"You... You are serious." He muttered with a frown. He stared at Roy for a few moments before he shook his head. "I don't have time for this. Al is waiting for me." He said, pushing Roy off. Usually Roy would have been able to hold him down, but while he was intoxicated, his center of balance was thrown off.
Roy fell to the side, watching Edward walk off towards the door. The young alchemist didn't even look back as he left the room, closing the door behind him.
