The Report *Chapter 3*

Nov 15, 2009 19:27

After Roy’s and Ed’s small little escapade, the Elric brothers would leave the next morning on a lead for the sorcerer’s stone. It would be the first time Edward was away from Central for long after Roy began his… sexual harassment. At first, the young state alchemist thought it would be a relief to be away from the colonel. He didn’t have to constantly look over his shoulder when he thought he heard the Flame Alchemist’s voice. He didn’t have to go out of his way to take the long way around his superior’s office. He could finally just.. relax.

At least.. That’s what he thought. Edward sat in the train, looking out the window as the scenery flashed by. Al had gone off somewhere in the train.. Ed didn’t know. Al couldn’t get lost on the train so he wasn’t worried. The door to their little room opened and the blonde looked up, expecting to see his brother. But he saw someone very different.

“C-Colonel?!” Ed’s eyes widened as Roy walked into the room, closing the door behind him. He simply smiled and walked over to Ed, grabbing him and kissing him deeply. Ed’s face flushed a dark red, but he soon began to struggle. Someone would see them. “Stop!” he said, pushing at Roy’s chest. But the Colonel wouldn’t. The Flame Alchemist was silent as he ravished Ed, pulling off his clothes and just making him feel wonderful. About half way through, Ed was holding onto Roy as if his life depended on it, moaning softly.

“Are you alright?” Roy said softly to him. “Brother?”

Ed, at first, didn’t register what Roy said… but once he did, he blinked. “H-Huh..?”

“I said.. are you ok, Brother?”

Ed woke up to find himself clinging to Al’s arm instead of Roy like he had thought.

Oh god. A wet dream. He was going to kick Roy’s ASS.

Ed shuffled away, going back to sticking near the window. “Sorry… I fell asleep.” He muttered, his cheeks turning red from embarrassment.

Al looked at Ed for a moment. “Are you sure, Brother? You’ve been acting awfully weird lately.”

A pang of guilt stabbed Edward in the chest. He had been lying to Al ever since all of this started and it wasn’t easy lying to the only family he had left. But he couldn’t tell Al the truth. So he turned to his brother and grinned.

“I’m fine, Al! I think you’re overreacting.” He said with a small laugh.

Al was silent for a moment before the large suit of armor visibly relaxed. “Ok, brother.”

It was too bad that Al didn’t sleep… because Ed could sure use some private time.

Edward Elric wasn’t the only one who was having trouble adjusting. Roy Mustang was getting a bit… frustrated. It wasn’t easy for the Colonel to fall back into the routine of paper work and normalcy. When he went off on walks through the headquarters, he found himself passing by the Elric’s room. He occasionally heard Ed’s voice among the many others when he went to eat in the cafeteria, causing him, a few days after, to begin to eat in his office. He found the only thing that kept his mind from wandering was work. So Roy immersed himself in it. There was enough work to keep him busy for the day and he rarely allowed himself more than 15 minutes of breaks. He ate while working and finished late at night, when he knew that once he returned to his room, he’d fall asleep quickly.

It was day four of Edward’s absence and Roy barely registered the door to his office opening and closing.

“Colonel.”

Roy recognized the straight, stern tone and glanced up at his blonde subordinate. “Hawkeye.” He said, before looking back down at his work. Riza walked in with a new stack of welcomed paper work. She placed it down on the corner of Roy’s desk and looked at him for a moment.

“You’ve been working a bit more diligently than usual.” She said, her hand on top of the stack of paper.

“Well, work is work. It has to be done.” Roy said, not looking up.

Riza frowned. Something was definitely not right. Usually at this time of day, Roy was skipping out on paper work by avoiding his office. Now, Roy was practically in his office 12 hours a day. She spent most of her day trying to make Roy to work, and now that the colonel was working without being needed to ask, Riza wasn’t as relieved as she thought she would be. But she had some inkling as to the problem.

“How do you think he’s doing, Colonel?” Riza said, removing her hand from the stack as Roy reached for the paper at the top. But as Roy touched the piece of paper, he stopped for a moment, the question hitting him.

“Who?” Roy said as he pulled the paper in front of him. She knew it…

“Edward. He’s been gone four days now.” Riza said before an idea struck her. “He called yesterday wanting to speak to you but I told him you were too busy.”

Roy’s eyes snapped up to look at Riza. “When? Why didn’t you tell me? Did he say he was going to call again?”

“You usually don’t like to take official calls. And you looked busy enough. So what changed your mind, Colonel?” Riza said, looking at him with a scrutinizing gaze.

“Uh…” For the first time in a long while, Roy looked like he had let his guard down. He blinked as he looked at Riza, realizing he had just dug his own grave. There was no way out but to tell the truth. He knew as well as she that Roy could never blatantly lie to Riza. She’d know in an instant.

So Roy told her.

He touched very very very briefly on the sexual parts. But unfortunately for him, Riza caught it.

“…”

Whack! Thump!

“Ow!” Roy had be smacked upside the head so hard, his head lurched forward and hit the surface of his desk. He gripped the back of his head with both hands. Oh, its been a long time since he was last abused by Riza.

“Are you insane?” Riza’s voice took on a colder than stern voice. “He’s just a kid! How could you do that to him!” Her voice rose with each word.

Roy thought it best not to lift his head too high and left his hands over his head in a protective manner. “Wait wait wait! Listen!” he said quickly. “I-Its not what you think!”

“Enlighten me, Colonel.” Riza said in a dark tone. She put down her hand from striking distance and instead placed it on her gun. Roy instantly regretted everything. If he wasn’t atheist, he’d be praying frantically and begging for forgiveness.

“Its not like I wanted to torture him or anything! I mean, I made sure he liked it!”

Thwack!

“OW!”

Riza was annoyed… Well, annoyed was an understatement. There was no word for this utterly dark feeling stirring up in her chest. Perhaps disgusted was close enough.

“Colonel.” Riza spoke after she had calmed herself slightly. “I’m going to ask you a question. Why did you do it?”

Roy looked at her for a moment before looking down at a spot on his desk. “I didn’t really have a motive, Hawkeye. One day it just happened. It’s as simple as that.”

Riza frowned. Her face softened ever so slightly, but she was still quite angry. She left and Roy counted that as a blessing.

The next day, though, was not so lucky. She came with the usual stack of paperwork and soon, more questions followed. Each day, Roy got hurt in some way for his answers but as each day passed, the injuries seemed to be less. Roy didn’t know whether it was Riza beginning to hold back, or he was just getting used to the pain. On day 8 of the Elric’s absence, Riza entered as usual. Roy put down his pen, waiting for the onslaught of questions but… It didn’t come.

“Here, Colonel.” Riza said as she put a brand new stack. Something else Roy seemed to notice was that the stacks were getting shorter each day. Probably because the secretaries couldn’t keep up with him and his new work schedule.

Roy looked at Riza cautiously before he relaxed slightly, picking up his pen once more. “Thank you, Hawkeye.” He said before he returned to his work.

But Riza didn’t leave and Roy was painfully aware of this. As he tried to concentrate on the forms in front of him, he continued to feel Riza’s stare drilling into his head.

“Is… Is there something else, Hawkeye?” Roy asked with some hesitation after a few minutes. He looked up at the blonde who continued staring for another thirty seconds before she opened her mouth.

“I think I finally figured it out, Colonel.” Riza said.

“Huh? Figured.. it out?” Roy blinked, looking at Riza with interest. “What do you mean?”

Riza put her hands on Roy’s desk and leaned forward, looking at him. “Even though he looks tough, Edward is a sensitive boy and you must treat him accordingly!” she said, “And I’m sure that if you have any intentions of getting close with him, you’ll have to become good friends with Alphonse as well, considering how close they are. You can’t treat Edward like a toy and you have to give him some value! Perhaps one day, take him out on a date or something.”

“Whoa, wait what?!” Roy’s eyes widened, looking at Riza. “Date? Close? But.. I just.. WHAT?!”

“Its obvious, Colonel.” Riza said, standing up. “I’m not sure why I didn’t see it before. After all, you do have the maturity of a twelve year old boy. Of course you would pull stunts like this.” The words stabbed Roy but he quickly recovered.

“See what?! What’s obvious!?” Roy frowned, putting his pen down as he stared at Riza. Though the answer he received might not have been good for his heart.

“You have a crush on Edward Elric.”
