The Consumerist on Facebook's new TOS Despite that Consumerist article being perhaps a tad alarmist, I have suddenly come to the realization that I'm worried about my web presence. The scary thing is that it's too late to do anything about it - Google's servers cache everything, so removed content isn't actually removed. It's still floating around on the web, somewhere. (Unless the servers crash and all data is lost,
Ma.gnolia-style).
Then you hear about the UK issuing national identification cards (it's like they read 1984 as a how-to manual) and Chicago promising surveillance cameras on every street corner by the 2016 Olympics...
I suppose privacy is becoming a thing of the past, and I don't very much like that.
