I Am Not Racist

It has come to my constant attention this week that we, as a society, are racist.
Not bigotry-racism but equality-racism.

Let me explain.We want everyone to be equal but we're keeping terms like "minorities" and programs like "affirmative action ( Read more... )

I agree with you that using the term "minority" just further continues to alienate people from one another. After all, if we are supposed to look beyond one's race, what is the point of bringing it up? Who does it benefit to know that so-and-so is Hispanic, or Japanese or Indian? They are still a person.

As for the American flag bit, I don't think I heard anything about that, I'll look more into it. However, I did hear that the National Anthem no longer is recited in schools. It might "offend" someone...

That's ridiculous...You're in AMERICA!! Why can't American's understand that it's okay to be American in America? I feel like Bandit Keith.....
