Avatar: The Last Airbender Movie

Let me just start by saying I was -very- excited about this film. I had become a fangirl of the animated series and this movie was meant to culminate all the awesomeness that is Avatar.

Unfortunately, M. Night Shyamalan, a supposed fan of the series himself, managed to destroy all that was good and replace them with...well...nothing.

The movie opened with a lame, Star Wars-esq summary narrated by Katara. I could deal with that...but I should have seen the signs of failure with that very beginning.
Katara, Zhao, and Zuko were the only names they seemed to get right for starters; oh how it wounded me when they called Sokka, Sooka or Aang, Ahng. Really, right there showed that M.N.S. had no true fan-love for the series. Here, M. Night Shyamalan, watch this video and learn:

The plot also made no sense, I swear the only reason I understood any of it was because I HAD seen the show and knew where it was SUPPOSED to end up. Dear God, there were so many random scene changes and unexplained events that anyone outside of watching the original must have had a migrane! Not only that but none of the characters developed at all except for Zuko. And the acting? Sub-par but I blame the choppy script which gave them such lines as "Hey. Stop." or "You?" "Yes, me." Seriously the worst I've had to watch...

These are just my base issues, I've plenty more but I don't need to make you suffer through them. All you need know is that this movie was a serious disappointment and not worth your money, unfortunately.
