With bathing suits, there is, I discovered after trying on many maternity suits of horror, no need at all to buy specialised stuff. Find something cheap ith a seam or band under the bust, and buy one a couple of sizes up from your usual size. Bathers are easily stretchy enough to go over even a very pregnant belly. As for baby clothes, I realise I am in Australia and therefore not in a position to give you practical suggestions, but I eventually tracked down plenty of non-pastel gender neutral stuff. I got some adorable but stuff from Sozo including these tragically discontinued Koi fish and turtle sets. And I saw all in one suits in lots of bright colours (red, purple, navy, deep green, orange) this very day in Big W (discount chain store). They exist. It just took me a while to find them.
