Black Forest Cherry Cupcakes filled with Cherry Jam and Vanilla Buttercream Frosting
Pumpkin and White Chocolate Chunk Cupcakes
Topped with Cranberry Cream Cheese Frosting and Dried Cranberries
The Black Forest Cherry Cupcakes were amazing. I used a boxed chocolate cake mix, and added chocolate chips for extra chocolate goodness. When they were cooled I spooned out the top and put in dark cherry preserves and put the top back on. I made my own Vanilla Buttercream Frosting, milk chocolate sprinkles, and finally a maraschino cherry on top.
The Pumpkin Cupcakes is a recipe I've been working with for awhile, and this time I added white chocolate chunks to the batter. The made a cream cheese frosting and added 1/4 a cup of jellied cranberry sauce to the mix. I made these for Thanksgiving tomorrow.
Anyways, I'm getting pretty serious about cupcakes and am thinking about opening up my own little cupcake shop out of my home. Seriously small scale selling to friends and friends of friends. However, I need a name. So far Matthew and I have come up with:
+ Petite Sweets
+ C-Cup Bakery
Help me with more names! Or tell me which you like better!
I'm fixing Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow all by myself! Matthew and I are staying here in Columbus this year instead of Connecticut. And I'm fixin' a turkey! I've already started prepping the stuffing, and I'm waking up early to cook a damn bird for 4 hours. I'm kind of excited. This might sound terribly backwards, but I feel it's a right of passage for a women to cook a Thanksgiving dinner. Not that women are the only ones that have to fix it, but I'm sure it's not nearly as special for guys. I'm sure I'll have pictures and updates of that turkey tomorrow.
