Daily Dose: A Raven Like A Writing Desk
Today's shift at work was a bit unusual and frustrating, in that I really feel like the few things I was getting any solid grasp on there are slipping away from me for some reason. The last week has been marked by mistakes of every stripe. I thought I was getting better at this gig, but I seem to be getting worse. Also, I'm starting to really run up against my limitations with the advanced features of photocopiers and with CorelDraw and Office 2007. I have some skill with the former, and a great deal of experieince with the latter, but in both cases, not well rounded enough to deal with every contingency. Also, my relative weakness with InDesign is starting to show through, and yet, I'm ordered to work with it because my bosses can't deal with Illustrator files. It's like handing me a brush and palette, but cutting off my hands and making me paint with my teeth.
In other news, my lovely wife and I dragged my mother out to see Alice in Wonderland in 3D, and it was every bit as stunning as I'd hoped it would be. I'll try writing a proper review for it tomorrow. right now, I'm gonna go eat dinner. Good night.
