Busy working on a fic. I'm having fun writing so far, but at some point I'll probably start struggling.
The rest of the post is mainly about seiyuu.
It's a great time to be a seiyuu fan. Chances are your favourite seiyuu has a Youtube channel, or their radio shows or anime promo videos are readily available for free on Youtube. And if the seiyuu in question has a personal Youtube channel, they are very likely to invite their fellow seiyuu over as guests.
Just the other day,
Namonaki Nezumi (CV: Otsuka Akio) did a live stream of him playing the horror visual novel/adventure game Paranomasight with fellow seiyuu Kimura Ryohei as guest and 2BRO's Otsuichi as support. The game wasn't full-voiced, so they ended up reading all the on-screen text and acting out the lines. It was a truly splendid performance, particularly the live back-and-forth between Nezumi-san and Ryohei-kun. It was intense. Their voices really added a lot to the story.
Anyway, the stream has been archived and can be found
here. It's Japanese only.
In other news, the first PV for the upcoming yakuza TV anime Yakuza Fiance: Raise wa Tanin ga Ii is out on Youtube (
link). The character design follows very closely to Konishi Asuka's manga. Even if the animation might not be the best (it's made at Studio Deen), the voice cast will more than make up for it. All three seiyuu who voiced the manga promo videos are back to voice the same characters: Ishida Akira, Yusa Kouji, Kamiya Hiroshi. I'm pretty sure Ishida-san has never voiced a yakuza before, probably not even in BL drama CDs, let alone a character as messed up as Kirishima. The TV anime will air this October, and it's the one I'm looking most forward to. I'll be waiting for the discourse -- or lack thereof.
