Was feeling overwhelmed and exhausted, and my body starts complaining left and right. I'll take it easy and enjoy my writing time and anime-viewing time.
Anyway, this anime season is really the season of rom-com. The biggest surprise this season (aside from The Elusive Samurai) is Make Heroine ga Oosugiru! (Too Many Losing Heroines!), a bright, vibrant, dynamic rom-com with likeable characters and a healthy dose of sincerity. It's a good one to watch in the summer.
At the other end of the spectrum, there is Gimai Seikatsu (Days With My Stepsister), a quiet, introspective, slow-paced and realistic take on the stepsister trope. It's not the best looking series out there, but I really like it. Sakuga Blog did an article on it recently. The writer of the article called it "an eclectic mix of avant-garde and ordinary", and I have to agree. (

In other news,
Aharen-san wa Hakarenai is surprisingly getting a second season. It's more light-hearted comedy than romance, and I remember it being a relaxing watch. (Kind of like how Pseudo Harem and Ramen Aakneko are my go-to series this season when I want something relaxing to watch.)
