2022 Summer Anime Season Preview
This summer season seems to be on the lighter side. Danmachi is getting a new season-so are Made in Abyss and Hataraku Maou-sama!. RWBY is getting a TV anime courtesy of Shaft. On the rom-com side, there is Kanojo, Okarishimasu 2 and Mamahaha no Tsurego ga Motokano datta (ex-couple become step-siblings) and a few others. One of my most anticipated series is airing this season, along with the return of another personal favourite.

Yofukashi no Uta (manga by Kotoyama)
Eighth grader Yamori Kou stops going to school at some point. Unable to sleep, he ventures out onto the streets at night, and it is during his very first night-time wandering that he runs into Nazuna, a vampire who teaches him how to enjoy the night. Imamura Tomoyuki of Vanitas no Karte fame is directing the anime at LIDENFILMS. The anime will air in the Noitamina timeslot.

The mysteries of Shadows House and the Shadows family deepen. After passing the examination in season 1, Kate and Emilico move to the children's ward, where they become embroiled in a web of intrigue and conspiracies.

The story of a college student who wants no part in saving Earth but is forced to defend himself when under attack, and the princess who is supposed to save Earth but in truth wants to be the one to destroy Earth. The anime adaptation will cover the entire manga series from beginning to end.

Hataraku Maou-sama!! (light novels by Wagahara Satoshi)
When demon lord Sadao was inadvertently transported to modern-day Japan, he must make ends meet by working at a fast food restaurant. He hasn't given up on his ambition to conquer the world, however. The first season came out in 2013, and it's one of the most popular and well-regarded anime adaptation at the time. Season 2 will be produced by 3Hz instead of White Fox, though most of the staff and the cast will be the same as season 1.
