Roy Pitts... whatever can be said about me: gamer, smartass, nerd, geek, writer.... Movie Actor!?!?
Kinda farfetched isn't it. Well I am not getting my hopes up at all, but yesterday I was called up for a casting call for a movie based off a true story.
How did this happen? Turns out the movie is based off a group of Highschool writers who concoct some story "Freedom Writers" well, turns out my really really really really close friend Shayna has a brother who was an Author of it, and the authors got to nominate kids who could play it, and I was nominated.
Cool aint it? Anyway, its this friday, and its in Long Beach, all I know is that it involves Hilary Swank and Danny DeVito, and I am really excited. Shayna called me today from her new home for Seven weeks and told me I was chosen, so right now I am feeling pretty good knowing I got not only her brothers but five others nominations, she really wants my dream to succeed, I love her for that.
I should thank her for it, and I will. But right now, I have a vision of Hollywood in my eyes, and its hard to shake the possibilities no matter how impossible they seem. Kinda funny how I thought it was some sort of sick joke... a part of me still thinks that. But if I can get a chance like this ever again in my life, I would be so lucky. Nothing to it but to do it.
