Hey, it's only the 9th... Maybe I'm getting better with my time management? :D Back from Winter Break and my family's yearly overseas trip (this time to Italy). More details will be forthcoming, but first:
I'll more than likely print the velvet... And I'm Know your research in that regard will come in Oh So Very Helpful! I Love that page... ;) Thanks for putting it up and sharing... ;D
And... Could be that the same goes for the trim... although, I do have something from Heritage Trading that could be an interesting alternative... I bought it to do the Starry Mantle, but I'm thinking of doing that one myself, because the match is not that close... Decisions, decisions! I have an image of this trim on my future projects page, under Starry Mantle right now... http://www.yvettes.net/FutureProjectsPage.html
I'll be watching Exclusive Silks for the velvet... and obviously, need to watch out for a good match on the underdress... But I need to restrain my purchases for a good long while, and also, I need to work through the fabric stash I've built up so.
Stuff I have fabric for will come first. That's the Mirror Gown, and Padme's Dressing Robe/Gown; at the moment those are the only two recreations I'm nearly ready to go on. (Although, unfortunately, with the Mirror Gown belt and brooch, I still have a heavy duty amount of purchasing to go on beads and PMC...) As to the fabric stash, I also have quite a bit laying about here for inspired gowns, etc...
Long story short, since making the GG, I'm also convinced I want to make the Funeral Gown & Mantle, too... ;D
Ah, I've seen the trim you've bought for Eowyn's Starry Mantle and I do like it a lot. Gorgeous! I guess it depends on the look you're going for. :)
I need to use up the fabric stash too AND finish all of the things I've already started, but it's nice to make fiend-ish future plans. ;)
It's always the little detail things, like beads and zippers and thread, that start to add up. The fabric itself may be a decent price but with everything else you need on top of that... *sigh*
I know you're Mirror Gown will be lovely. Are you going to use the same pattern from your LBG?
