busy as a bee...

A nice email from a new friend - *waves at princess_lesa* - reminded me that it's been awhile since I've posted. I've actually been a good girl and have been very productive this week. Finishing Beth's Gothic Princess Dress & Cape for Halloween put me in a sewing mood. :)

Here's a picture of Beth in her costume. She was very excited about it.

And with the cape:

I was a black fairy for Halloween - note the fantabulous leather corset:

Not the most flattering of pictures. I'd had one too many drinks already too. ;)

Ah, but I did more! I finished beading the pink top for my "Pretty In Pink" Gown (original design). That's been so-close-to-finished-I-can-taste-it for awhile now. ;) It feels good to have that done. Now I just need to make the skirt that goes with it. No new pictures though, as you can't really tell that anything has changed! LOL.

I also finished adding rhinestones to my shoes for my Rust-Colored Gown (another original). Very difficult to get good pictures with a flash. ;) Click on the link for pictures.

I've been working through my research pages on my site. I finally filled in the pages for RENT, AIDA, and Titanic. I found some great Titanic costume sites while I was looking for pictures. I've linked them on the appropriate pages. :)

Finally, I've been working on a muslin for a super-skerit costume for the past few days, but my inspiration sort of fizzled and died on that. I'm having sleeve issues and am pouting over my lack of fabric - I'm making a top since I only have about 2 1/2 yards to work with. The sleeves could *easily* take that much fabric if not more. *sigh*

More FIDM Observations to follow. I've been neglecting that. Also need to get up my LOTR Exhibit observations. Eventually! :D
