"I'm entering a state of crisis"

Actually, no I'm not...but it's a kind of an interesting translation to a phrase I hear an awful lot (like say, 5 gajillion times a day) -- Ich krieg' die Krise... it's said often by Doreen and it's usually proceeded by an "Arg!"

I'm most amused by this phrase, because I could imagine a German translating it into english as something like "I'm getting a crisis." And I would think that would be too cute. Kind of like when one of the program organizers, Jutta, told us way back in Cologne that she'd "never had her pocket stolen."

Anyway...that's what I've been thinking this afternoon.

Maura brought me a bagel and a chocolate cookie for lunch, that was real nice of her. I'm kinda sad that all my guests left (Amy, Diana W., Errol - who said he'd make me a robot that makes mimosas, Carlos and Elaine). They're wicked fun.

Luckily they left behind a shitload of alcohol including the Tequila Rose.

Though I don't know what I'm gonna do with a liter of Jägermeister...

drink it, I suppose
