So, my grandmother was nice enough to bring me a copy of the Qur'an from Vancouver yesterday. I had mentioned to her a few weeks ago that my knowledge of Islam was limited to what I had picked up on my own or the brief sections dedicated to it in various history classes I've taken. So I'm pleased about that, and I'm trying to get through this version's rather lengthy introduction.
I also received a very bizarre voice clip in a private message last night. Some guy wanting to copulate with me to create an army of horned fiends to help him destroy the world or something-- I dunno, I don't particularly care enough to listen to it again. Apparently a few people thought they knew me well enough to think I'd find it amusing, and they had to be way off when they decided to gauge my sense of humor. All that did was creep me out, and I think it's because, as a voice clip, it was indetifying a real human being. With text, it's like it could be a robot at MIT or something. A heavy-breathing guy trying to sound seductive while spewing some weird-ass shit really put things into perspective, I guess.
