Day 27 - Most Epic Scene Ever: I thought long and hard about this one. Possibly longer and harder than most people should spend thinking about their answer for a livejournal video game meme. In the end, I don't think I came up with a perfect answer, but I finally settled on the end of Twilight Princess where you fight Ganondorf on Epona while Zelda fires Light Arrows at him from behind Link. In fact, the entire final boss sequence versus Ganon in that game is just fantastic. I remember being super impressed by the epicness of it as well as thrilled that Zelda played an active role in it. I like Zelda. Always have, even when she was "just a damsel in distress" or whatever. But I was still really pleased to see her take up arms and fight. Ever since she doubled as a fucking ninja in Ocarina of Time, she's gotten more and more badass in addition to her awesome as a character. But I seriously digress. So. Yes. End of Twilight Princess.

Favorite Game Developer: I'm a Squenix tool, but with their recent bombs I'm actually not going to say them for this one. This one has to go to Bioware. I love that so many of the people involved in their games talk to the fans and involve themselves in discussions about their storylines and characters. The "Alistair Never Loved You" snow globe incident for example shows how awesome they are.

A game you thought you wouldn't like, but ended up loving: Minecraft. Yeah, I know. It looks like shit. Boring shit. But I tried that boring shit after making fun of my boyfriend for playing it and five hours later had a series of intricate tunnels and a fancy home base built into a mountain. There's seriously something therapeutic about just digging in that game.

Your favorite game of all time: Final Fantasy VII. Obvious answer is obvious. In spite of all the sequels and "Goooooooooooo Vincent!", I have spent too much of my life talking about this game in depth. I used to get pissed at people in the midst of heated discussions about this game. You didn't want to be the person who tried to tell me that Cloud was too cool or badass. That's probably sad, but it just goes to show how into this game I was and always will be. I had one of those fucking shrines. I mean. It wasn't really like the standard shine and was more a collection of me ranting about Aerith and how she totally wasn't the perfect, sweet, innocent saint that people thought she was. This is the single game I bought I PSX for with my Christmas money, and it's the single game that made my parents limit video game play to weekends for me. I've played through it a million times, and I still love it in all it's polygonal glory. I would not turn my nose up at a remake with improved graphics that stays true to the original game, but I sincerely doubt they could remake it without adding Gackt in there or something. The only way I would accept Genesis being in the game would be if it was in the Group Room with Mukki, but then we all know Mukki's way too good for Genesis.
