Sitting and waiting had never really been one of Jenny's strengths, and now, anxious for Jason's return, it seemed all but impossible. She'd been on edge before, after finding him with that chair, but now it seemed even moreso. There was nothing she could do for him here, after all, but it wouldn't have been right to deny him when he'd asked only the one thing of her. Just because she'd listened didn't mean she was pleased about doing it. Petulance could only get her so far, and the way he'd asked alone was enough to damn near break her heart. She didn't need to know the chair's significance to know how difficult this must have been.

For a while, she'd paced around the hut, biting her nails and stealing a glance at the door every now and then as if he would walk through it if she did, but when doing so proved fruitless, she eventually settled enough to sit on the bed, knees held close to her chest, looking for any sort of comfort she could get. She doubted that would be possible at all until he got back. It was very nearly tempting to go back after him, but hard as it was, she decided against it. The last thing she needed was for the two of them to miss each other, for her to give him even more of a scare if he got back and she wasn't there. So, with nothing else to do, she waited. If it would help him, it was worth it.
