s2wg "This is it Pickle. This is my new beginning." Panted Liam as he doggedly pushed the pedals on his bike. "I'm going to lose this weight. I'm going to get a great job, and I'm going to seduce as many beautiful people that I can." He grinned and wiped the sweat from his brow. "Just you wait and see. I'm going to make my own life. Not my mother, or a bunch of mysterious strangers."
Pickle, Liam's newly acquired pooch, lifted an eyebrow as if to say. "Oh really?" Pickle seemed unimpressed with Liam's attempts to distance himself from a family, and his mother's wishes for him to carry on the legacy.
An hour later an exhausted Liam finally climbed off the bike and struck a pose. "I can feel it already! I'm going to be slim and free Pickle!"
Pickle didn't really care what happened with Liam. She just jumped down off the chair and accepting Liam's love and affection.
Despite his dog's lack of faith, Liam seemed to be making good on his promise. He had moved out of his mother's house and to a new town. He'd gotten Pickle and moved into a nice and swanky apartment. He got a job as an adventurer, although it wasn't his first choice, and the carpool left a lot to be desired, it was good money.
He also kept up with his fitness. Every morning he would hop on his stationary bike and every evening he would do an hour of yoga. His pudgy days were behind him, as were his days of Legacy this and Legacy that. When he had discovered that his mother intended for him to be heir, and to carry on with getting married and having babies, Liam quickly disappeared into the night. That was not his plan for his future.
And he was happy with that choice. He had made some friends at work, and had even been invited out that night! Liam hung up the phone and looked out his window at the city around him. He was living the high life now.
He quickly spruced up in the bathroom. He felt a compulsive need to be tidy, and to make a good impression so he brushed his teeth for what must have been the thirtieth time that day.
Before heading down to the taxi he gave himself a quick once over in the mirror. "Looking good my friend, looking good." He smiled at Pickle, who was hiding under the bed, embarrassed by Liam's ego.
He met up at the bar with Mayhew, his friend from work.
"Liam! Budday! Glad you made it son. We're going to tear this place up tonight!" Mayhew roared.
Liam laughed and nodded. "Sounds like a plan to me. So where are all the lovely ladies?"
Mayhew shrugged. "Give them time. Besides, while we wait there is a fully loaded bar behind us, and a little karaoke machine over there so let's get this night started!"
Liam may have had a touch too much to drink. He and Mayhew beleted out some classics on the karaoke machine, and Liam even busted out an awkward dance move or two.
"Whoa-oh-oh I'm a survivor, never gonna give up, some other words that I can't remember, la la la la! Whoa-oh-oh oh!" Mayhew laughed and swiped at the mike in Liam's hand. "Oh no-whoa-oh! You can't take this mike from me!! I'm a superstar singer man! WHOA-OH-OH!!"
But the ladies finally made it to the bar and Mayhew managed the get the mike from Liam so he decided to make his rounds.
"Darling, may I say you just look lovely tonight?"
The oddly dressed townie giggled and blushed when Liam planted a light kiss on her cheek.
Of course, Liam wasn't one to stop at one lady.
Oh no, he greeted quite a few pretty missies that night.
Hours had passed and the bar was getting ready to close up but Liam still hadn't met anyone he wanted to take home with him.
"So ladies man, did you strike out with all those pretty girls?" The bartender asked him sharply.
Liam grinned and lay a spread of napkins with scribbled numbers on the counter. "Not at all. It's just, none of them were right for me. Maybe another, lonely night." He grinned up at the bar tender. "Or maybe I'll find someone who's more...worth...my time?" He cocked an eyebrow suggestively and smirked.
The bartender laughed and shook her head. "Maybe, but not tonight I'm afraid."
The next night Liam decided it was high time to give Pickle a bath and he thought about his time at the bar. "You know Pickle. This is what I want from life. I'm not looking to get married, or to have kids. I can go out whenever I want. I can meet and talk to whoever I want. I bring home and bed whoever I want! I don't need anyone's permission. I don't owe anyone, anything."
Pickle rolled her eyes. All he owed her was a good meal and good wash and he was really falling behind on both of those counts. Dry dog food did not count as a good meal in Pickle's books.
But Pickle didn't get the opportunity to voice her concerns. Liam was up and out of the house before she had even a moment to bark out a response. Although, he woke up with a whopper of a hangover the next morning and decided that bowling might be a better option.
He even managed to make a new guy friend. He figured every guy needed a bunch of guy friends to play poker with and get a little too drunk with, and talk about women with.
*note: this is actually simJessie as a man. Isn't he cute? lol*
He even saw one of the ladies from the bar there that night.
"Well hello pretty lady! Would you like a beautiful rose for such a beautiful woman?"
Freckles frowned. "You know, my sister Peaches was going to be in your position. You're a legacy boy aren't you?"
Liam narrowed his eyes and shook his head. "No. I'm not." An easy smile spread across his face. "Would a legacy boy be hanging around bowling alleys chatting up beautiful, but legacy illegal women?"
This was enough to win Freckles McQuinn over. Her sister Peaches was the more attractive of the two, or so it seemed, so any man paying attention to her was good enough.
So it was that Pickle came to be sleeping on the cold, hard floor of the balcony. Liam and Freckles had stumbled into the apartment late in the morning and Liam had banished poor Pickle to anywhere but the bedroom. Not that Pickle wanted to be anywhere near the bedroom.
Yes, poor Pickle was feeling mighty neglected, but it wasn't all bad for the lonely pooch. She did manage to make a friend, albeit one of the feline variety. She was never sure what the cat was trying to say to her, but they both seemed to enjoy chasing each other around the lot with friendly little nips and yelps.
The next night Liam had decided to stay in, and it was a decision he intended to stick by. It had been an awkward goodbye with Freckles that morning and his head was aching yet again, so he thought a good night's sleep was what he needed. Of course, his neighbour had other plans.
"Hey jackass! Some of us are trying to sleep here! It's almost midnight, can you please turn down your TV?! We don't all want to listen to America's Next Top Model you know!" Liam rolled his eyes. "SHUT UP!" He yelled and pounded on the wall. He sat on the couch and and buried his face in his hands. The racket from next door showed no signs of subsiding any time soon. Liam glanced at the clock. It was just after midnight, the clubs would just be getting going. He could almost hear the music, and feel the bass pounding in his chest. He shook his head.
"No, I said I would stay in tonight." There was a loud crash of music from the wall behind him and then muted shouting. "Fuck it. I'm going out."
Liam danced his anger out at the club, even if he was the only one on the dance floor. Liam was lucky he was so charming. His dance moves were atrocious. He was of the fist pumping, hip shaking school of thought regarding dancing. The bigger the fist pump and the harder the hip shake the better.
He was just really getting in to it when he heard a diminuitive cough from behind him.
"Excuse me, I'm sorry to bother you, but you wouldn't happen to know where Pearson Bay Motel is would you?"
Liam sighed heavily and turned around, a snappy remark on his tongue, when he smacked in the face with desire. When his eyes fell on the tiny, shy little blonde asking for directions behind him his heart fell in to his stomach and he felt a familiar ache below the belt. Shit, this is just what I need. The unattainable woman. He smiled teresely. "You new in town?"
The blonde girl bobbed her head. "Just got in today." She forced a tense and awkward grin. "Don't even have a place to stay yet and I got lost looking for the motel." Her eyes were dark with anxiety and her smile stretched farther on her face.
Before even thinking about it Liam spoke. "You know, I'm staying over at Server Down Apartments and I've been looking for a roommate. I mean, if you're looking for a place. The rent's a bit steep you know so, I could use the help, really you'd be doing me a favour. Not that you're looking to do me any favours. I mean..." he trailed off before he stuck his foot in his mouth even further.
The girl's eyes widened and her smile became genuine. "Oh my goodness are you serious? I probably shouldn't, you know, it's not safe to move in with stange men you just met but oh my it would be so nice if I had a place to stay." She paused and looked around nervously. "Just until I found my own apartment of course. And I'd stay at the motel tonight, I don't want to inconvenience you too soon." She tittred nervously.
Liam nodded. "Of course, right. Well, do you have a pen?" He waited while she fished a pen and paper from her purse and then wrote down his address and a little map. "This is where we are now, if you walk down this direction for about fifteen minutes you'll get to the hotel, and then to get to my place you'll backtrack about 10 minutes, then turn left onto Commercial Street, and it's the fourth building down. It has a sign outside that Server Down Apartments." He stuck out his hand and smiled. "Uh, I'm Liam by the way."
She took his hand and he shivered when he felt it was warm and soft. "Sunny."
Shit. Even her name is perfect. He thought to himself in despair.
Outside Liam slapped himself in the forehead. What the hell had he been thinking? Inviting someone he had just met to come and live with him! It was insane. Ludicrous. The stupidest thing he'd ever done, and he'd once had dated two sisters, and their cousin. At the same time. He shook his head and took off for home in the rain. This was going to be a disaster.
The next evening Sunny showed up at the apartment with her bags in hand. "I hope I'm not early." She paused. "And if you don't want to do this, I'd totally understand."
Liam shook his head. "Don't be silly, here, I'll show you your room." He guided Sunny into the spare bedroom. "Don't worry about the bed. The apartment came furnished and this room was all set up," he looked around and shrugged, "although it is sparse."
Sunny shook her head. "It's perfect. I...I couldn't...." She sighed and swallowed past the lump in her throat. "Thanks."
Liam shrugged, uncomfortable with Sunny's show of emotion.
"I'll show you around the apartment a bit."
They headed into the living room but before he could really begin the tour Sunny threw her arms around his waist and squeezed him tightly. "Seriously Liam. Thank you. No one has ever done anything so kind for me before."
Liam swallowed hard and tried to distance his body from hers. She was so soft and comfortable and Liam felt that if she was going to be living here, then she was one girl he couldn't have.
The next moring Sunny woke up to find Liam in the kitchen making pancakes. "Oh, morning Sunny, have a seat, breakfast is almost ready."
"You really don't have to make me breakfast Liam, you've already done more then enough."
Liam laughed. "Sunny, you're paying rent, so really, you're the one doing me a favour." He turned to her with a plate full of steaming pancakes. "Besides, I'm just trying to butter you up."
Sunny gave him a suspicious look. "For what?"
Liam smiled and set a warm plate in front of her. "I'm going for a jog and thought you might like to come. After breakfast of course."
Sunny frowned. "Jogging?"
Sunny had declined Liam's offer, even if he did bribe her with pancakes. She just wasn't much of the athletic type.
She was sitting on the balcony reading the paper when Liam plopped down in the chair next to her, panting and red in the face. Sunny grinned behind her paper. "So, did you have a good jog?"
Liam nodded. "Very...it was....awesome." He struggled to catch his breath.
Sunny chuckled. "Well there you go. You had a great time, and now you're sweaty, out of breath and red in the face. And I had a great time and I'm a comfortable temperature and can breathe properly."
Liam growled and swatted at her feebly. "I'll get you out for a run one day."
After that life settled into an easy routine. Sunny had some trouble finding a job so she tried very hard to overcome her messy nature and pitch in around the apartment during the day while she was alone.
At night, after Liam got off work they would enjoy a nice meal and then settle in to study. Liam had curbed his wild adventures at night, although every time Sunny curled up next to him on the couch in her skimpy pyjama's he would regret it. He usually would spend a few nights at home, hanging out with Sunny, and after several days of watching her prance around in her underwear, he would head out and find a pretty and flirty woman who was willing to take his mind of his untouchable roommate.
Of course, living with Sunny wasn't all roses. She was a messy type of person and Liam was a neat freak if ever one lived.
It's just one plate. He thought to himself. It's not hard to pick up one plate. He sighed. It's not hard to ignore one silly little plate either Liam.
But all in all, he found he really enjoyed having Sunny around.
Severl months later Sunny still hadn't seen all of Pearson Bay, so Liam decided to take her out to show her the best part. The Boardwalk.
"This is the boardwalk?" Sunny stared around in disbelief. "There is something this beautiful here?"
Liam laughed. "Sure is. You should enjoy it in all it's glory." He gave her a quick squeeze on the shoulder. "Go have a look around, we'll meet down by the dock in an hour?"
Sunny nodded without responding, she was just amazed by how beautiful it was, all lit up in the night.
She spent most of her time on the DJ booth. The dance club had an open night for prospective DJ's and she had a few skills up her sleeve, so she jockeyed some discs and made a bit of cash to help pay her rent.
The time flew by quickly and she had to rush out to meet Liam on the dock. When she got there he was standing with his face turned up to the sky and his eyes closed. He looked so sweet and peaceful and Sunny had never really noticed before, but he was very handsome.
Liam blinked and saw Sunny standing there and smiled at her. "I love the smell of the ocean. It's my favorite part of living in Pearson Bay."
He took her hand and gave it a squeeze and Sunny suddenly found she didn't like the butterflies it kicked up in her stomach. She pulled it away hastily and plastered a grin on her face. "I'm starving, let's get something to eat."
"Okay, when I said something to eat, I did not mean cookies from a bag." She muttered.
Liam laughed. "Well, do you want to wait an hour for a place to open up in the restaurant?"
Sunny opened her eyes wide in mock fear and shook her head. "Never! Oh please! Anything but that!"
Liam laughed and nudged her shoulder playfully. "Shut up."
Liam was shocked to find he really enjoyed living with Sunny. He had had such an excellent time hanging out at the boardwalk, which was unusual for him. Usually, any time he spent with a woman, was spent trying to bed her, and then trying to usher her out of his life and quickly and painlessly as possible. But he was friends with Sunny.
"Pickle, what am I going to do huh girl? I have this beautiful woman staying with me, and I just want to be close to her all the time. I want to touch her, and kiss her, and just sit with her." He sighed. "This is so not me."
Pickle didn't really care. She was glad that he was finally paying attention to her.
That night Liam changed into his work out clothes and plopped down beside Sunny on the couch. "Is there anything I could possibly say to get you to come jogging with me?" He responded in mock exasperation.
Sunny grinned. "I couldn't really say Mr. Wright."
Liam laughed at Sunny's playful tone and stretched his arms out on the sofa. "What about some kind of deal." He glanced at the TV and noticed that a movie was starting. "A movie for a jog?"
Sunny tapped her chin and rolled her eyes up to the ceiling in a dramatic pantomime of thinking. "Well....it is a good deal."
He grinned and, without really thinking about it, slipped his arm down around her shoulders and pulled her close. "Is that a yes I hear behind your lips?"
Sunny smiled back softly and shrugged. "Maybe it's a more of a: fine, if it will get you to stop pestering me."
Liam's grinned stretched wider and he shocked himself by kissing her cheek. Sunny blinked at him, her wide, epxressive eyes were wider then he'd ever seen them and were shimmering in the soft light of the lamp. "I...I'm sorry, I didn't..."
He broke off and stared at her, fighting his own inner battle before finally losing to himself. He crushed his lips against hers wrapped his arm around her back and pulled her into his lap. This moment had been a long time coming and he wasn't sure he could stop it.
"We shouldn't do this." He muttered, making a half-assed attempt to control himself, his hands still gripping her back and her thigh.
Sunny nodded and kissed him again. "You're right. We're roommates." She mumbled into his kiss.
With a physical and noticeable effort Liam pulled back from her. "If you don't want to do this..." he struggled for the right words. "We don't have to."
Sunny rolled her eyes. "Shut up."
With that last defense gone the two stumbled into the bedroom, disrobing as they went and Liam finally, and happily pushed her down on his bed.
"So, how about that jog?" Liam joked a little bit later as the two lay in bed, happy and sleepy.
Sunny rolled her eyes and turned her face into his chest. "Shut up! No more workouts!" She mumbled.
Liam laughed and held her tighter to him. As Sunny drifted off to sleep in his arms Liam sighed and thought about what had just happened. Sunny had never really mentioned any boyfriends, or girlfriends for that matter. Liam wasn't the judgemental sort, he had a few same sex relationships under his belt and wasn't going to judge her for that. He shook his head. Sunny wasn't the kind of girl someone notched into a belt. He was pretty sure she'd never been with anyone before him, and that wasn't something he was entirely comfortable with. She was shy, sweet and incorruptible, but of course, that was before she met him. Now, whether he wanted it that way or not, she was another tick on his belt and although it had never felt too full before, now it seemed painfully scarred with marks from his past.
Despite his reservations, Liam couldn't deny Sunny and he couldn't put their relationship back to friends. He didn't want to put it back to friends. So for the time being, they became a couple, and proceeded to do couple-y things all over the apartment. Many tenants were afraid to take a swim after 7:00pm for fear of finding Sunny and Liam on the bench making out.
Of course it wasn't all sex and making out in inappropriate places. They also took time out to do romantic things. Like bubble baths, and breakfast in bed, and terrible romantic comedies.
And there was plenty of Pickle ignoring going around too. Luckily for Pickle, she still had the friendly neighbourhood cat. That cat was always good for a game of tag, or even just someone Pickle could be around. It was difficult being ignored by your family.
They had been dating for months, and Liam had just gotten over his concerns.
Just.
He was happy with Sunny, and decided that that would have to be enough for now. She was smart, funny, and beautiful, and her...uh...appetite, had turned out to be as voracious as his own. It seemed everything was going perfectly for Liam, but he just didn't see the life he had begun to settle in to.
'Liam, darling, we've got to talk."
Liam laughed. "Honey, I already know what you want to say, and it's perfectly fine."
Sunny frowned. "You do?"
"Of course!" He smiled reassuringly. "Look, so what if you've put on a few pounds. I still care about you, and I still find you attractive." He grinned wickedly. "Maybe I can finally convince you to come out for a jog with me. You know, with a little healthy living you'll be back in shape in no time."
Sunny frowned. "Oh honey, that's what you think this is?"
Liam shrugged. "What do you mean?"
Sunny took a deap breath and steeled herself for what she would have to say. She knew Liam's feeling's on these matters and was not looking forward to it.
"Liam, I haven't put on weight because of unhealthy living. Honey, I'm pregnant."
Liam felt the room go black. He couldn't respond. He couldn't even think. This is what he had avoided for so long. This was why he had strings of one night stands. Women who didn't matter, women he was safe with. Cautious with. Sunny had made him drop all guards. He had been foolish, hadn't thought about what could happen. "This isn't funny." He choked.
"This isn't a joke." She responded.
"I....I need some time alone. Time to...to think about...." he shook his head, his mouth hanging open and his chest heaving. "...this." He muttered. Sunny reached out to put her hand on his shoulder but he flinched away from her. "Don't. Just...go to bed."
Sunny threw herself into their bedroom and curled up on the bed, clutching her knees to her chest. This wasn't happening. He wouldn't leave her. He couldn't do that. Not after everything. She loved him so much and he couldn't do this to her. She sobbed into her hands and shook her head. "Please, please please PLEASE don't let him leave me." She whispered to the empty room. "I just need him so much."
Liam stretched out on the couch and fought back his own tears. This was what his mother had wanted. Well, maybe not this way exactly, but she had wanted for him to produce spawn. He shuddered at the thought of it. Little children with his genetics, his family line. Some little monster that would poop and scream and always be hungry for his attention. Tying him home. Tying him to Sunny. He would never be free again. He covered his mouth with his hand to hold back the choking sob that wanted to tear out of him. This was his greatest fear, and what he had spent so much time avoiding. He wanted freedom. The freedom to party whenever he wanted, to date whomever he wanted. Not that he was doing much of either. He spent most time at home with Sunny. In fact, he wasn't particularly interested in partying, or in being with other women. But that could change! He could meet someone, someone he wanted more than he wanted Sunny. A stab of unexpected pain struck his heart. The thought of ever wanting someone other than Sunny was dreadful. It was out of the question. He never would want anyone but her. The question now was: would he still want her even with the baby?
Hours passed and Sunny still hadn't heard a word from Liam. She was lying on her side, her eyes swollen and tired from crying when she heard the door slowly open. "Sunny?"
She rolled over and sat up quickly, staring at Liam. "Yes?" She whispered. Ready to take whatever he had to say.
When Liam saw her face, the fear and acceptance all mixed up, his heart broke. He shouldn't have left her in here so long to stew and panic. He smiled and scooped her up in his arms. "Sunny darling, I love you. I really do. I'm...." he sighed and struggled past the words. "If you want this baby, I'll be here with you."
The next morning Sunny was so thrilled with Liam's decision that she felt it was time for a makeover. Nothing drastic, just some brighter clothes to reflect her good mood and a slightly different hairstyle. This was a new beginning for the both of them she felt. A fresh start.
She was feeling so good that she finally decided to go and meet her neighbour. Something neither Liam nor her had ever bothered doing before.
"Hi, I'm Sunny Steele. I live in the apartment next to this one with my boyfriend Liam Wright."
The man shook her hand and smiled warmly. "Boyfriend huh?" He nodded at the slight bump under Sunny's shirt. "Are you two expecting a little bundle of joy?"
Sunny covered her stomach with her hands and offered him a strained smile. "Define joy." She whispered.
After their greeting she actually ended up having a very good time visiting with the man next door, who's name happened to be Jack. He was a bit of a socialite on the odds with his wealthy family. He had been banished to the apartments, with "little" money - more like hundred's of thousands, but his family was hitting the multimillion dollar mark - after they caught him with another man. They had expected him to get married to a girl of good breeding and produce clone babies - his words, not Sunny's - for his parents lineage. Jack had been more interested in pursuing love and luxury and so he happily lived in Server Down Apartments, free to make his own choices. In return for his life story Sunny told him hers. Not that there was much to tell. Lonely, shy country girl moves to the big city, meets a man and moves in with him, falls in love, offers him her virginity and winds up pregnant. And man doesn't particularly want baby, but still wants girl so he agrees to go along with it.
Sunny shrugged. "My life is boring."
Jack barked out a laugh as they sat on his sofa. "Hardly my dear. So tell me, what does your boy like to do."
Sunny made a face. "Jog."
Jack hummed. "Jog eh?"
"So you live next door?" Liam asked Jack as he warmed up that night.
"That's right dear. Your sweet little housewife came to visit me today and we got chatting. She said you liked to jog, but had no jogging partner.' He grinned and pretended to dust off his shoulder. "And since I'm pretty good I thought it would be a shame for you to run all alone."
Liam frowned. "She's not my housewife. She's my girlfriend."
"Who stays at home to cook and clean and raise your offspring."
"Well, I didn't ask for the offspring part and trust me, Sunny is not a cook or a cleaner. That is definitely my job."
Jack grinned. "Good man my friend.
After the initial shock wore off, Liam and Sunny settled into a routine again. This time though, they got a human friend for Pickle. She was working in Show Biz and Liam knew she would need to learn a few tricks to climb the puppy career ladder.
"ACK! My old and feeble heart has stopped beating and my lungs have collapsed! I die with this last breath on my lips and it the words I whisper is your name my looooooooove!"
"That's nice lady, but can you die more quietly?" Muttered Liam as he tried to read a book and Sunny napped beside him.
"Taa-daa!" The trainer whispered from the floor.
Pickle was unimpressed. She wasn't sure why Liam thought it important that she know how to fake her own death and she didn't care to learn. She would, but she wasn't going to like it.
Of course, the trainer was quickly fired after Sunny came into the bathroom one morning and found the toilet clogged and the trainer standing over it with a plunger and sheepish look on her face. Puppy career or not, Sunny was not fixing that damned toilet and she wasn't going to let someone in her home who would just break plumbing willy-nilly. And she told that willy-nilly plubming breaker exactly that.
The months were racing by and soon Sunny's belly was big and she knew the time was coming soon. She was also surprised to find Liam was becoming more and more excited.
"Well hello there my darling and beautiful and not at all the size of a whale girlfriend. How are you and my future sprog doing?"
Sunny rolled her eyes. "Need you refer to the baby as "sprog"?" She muttered.
Liam nodded succinctly. "Oh I do. It is a neccessity."
She laughed and kissed him softly. "Fair enough I suppose."
Liam returned the embrace and kiss. 'I have something to show you."
"You do? Where?"
Liam shrugged. "Follow me and you'll find out."
Liam opened up the door to the spare bedroom and slipped his arm around Sunny's waist. "So, what do you think?"
Sunny gaped at the newly decorated nursery. "You did all this?" Liam nodded. "I can't believe you did this!" She wiped the tears from her eyes. "Liam it's perfect."
Liam laughed and hugged her tightly. 'I'm sorry I wasn't on board originally. I stressed you out unneccessarily and I wanted to make it up to you. I hope you enjoy it."
Sunny grinned and sniffed back her tears. "I love it. Thank you."
Sunny had become so big that it had become dreadfully uncomfortable to even try to lie down in her own bed. She tossed and turned and couldn't find a position that wasn't awkward, and that kept Liam up, which made him quite grumpy. So Sunny had taken to sleeping on the couch, where she could toss and turn in peace.
However one, unfortunate night she awoke with a start and dull pain ripping through her abdomen.
"Oh shit." She muttered.
Before she managed to take two steps she was doubled over in pain. "Liam!!! Please come in here!" She screeched, but Liam was a sound sleeper and barely twitched in his bed. "LIAM!!!"
Before she knew it though she was holding her little baby girl. She had been concerned about having this baby, but when she looked her little daughter in the eyes, all those worries melted away. "Hello little girl."
Liam came rushing out of the bedroom, a little bit too late. "Did I miss it?"
Sunny smiled and held up the baby girl. "What do you think?"
Liam's heart thudded against his chest. She was beautiful. Perfect. He didn't know he could feel this way about another person. "Oh my goodness.' He whispered. He touched her little face in awe. "What's her name?"
Sunny smiled. "Kato Lilly Steele. I wanted her to have a middle name like yours."
Liam grinned. "Hello little Kato!" He cooed at his newborn daughter.
Despite all his fears Liam turned out to be a fantastic father. He changed her diaper, and he fed her and burped her and found he wanted to spend every minute with Kato.
Of course, his change of mind may not extend to a new little bundle of joy on the way.
"Dammit." Muttered Sunny.
