I've had poem a day calendar on my desk all year, "Poetry Speaks." I've really enjoyed some of the poems and quotes that I've come across.

April is poetry month.  Someone today made the comment to me that there are two kinds of people in the world: those who get poetry and those who don't.

I STRONGLY disagree.

I've been feelin' sorry for myself for a week or two now, maybe more? Because there have been several stories that I have wanted to write and I just don't have the technical skill to get them out like I want. I wrote a poem today. It's no where near publishable, and I have a feeling that in a few days I won't like it unless I can seriously improve it. Still, it was fun to write a poem again.

I have so much fun every day looking for these poems. I found a site that features a poem-of-the day, and one of the poems they had chosen was by Stephen Crane, The Black Riders, and the really cool feature on this site was that people could comment on the poems of the day.
