While I have made good progress on the infamous thesis, it has been a long day, long week, and long month. I've gotten used to relocating cryptic notes written in dull colored pencil (the only writing implement that seems to remain on my desk for more than twenty minutes) in the drifts of books and articles that surround my computer. I eventually was able to figure out, for example, what "avenge R.B. diamicter" was really meant to say. This evening, I eventually remembered that, while no doubt vegan recipes of varying quality do exist, it isn't possible to make quotidian chocolate chip cookies without using an egg. And I pondered this while cleaning the margarine out from between my toes (I leave it to you to imagine how trying to mix egg-less cookie dough could have produced such a result.) You might think having margarine between your toes would be a pleasant, Bohemian sort of feeling. But you'd be wrong.
