There should be a certain routine in the coffee-making morning and this certain routine should not be interrupted by things like going to throw away yesterday's coffee filter and realizing that there is no trash bag in the trash can and then having to hold the still soggy yesterday's filter in one hand and then put in a trash bag with the other hand. It is too much to have to deal with first thing in the morning! Also, this certain routine of the morning should not be interrupted by having to push the top part of the coffee maker in very firmly because if you don't the water heats up but won't drip into the cup and it will just steam and sputter and make a giant mess. These things are just pushing it in a way I do not appreciate.
I'm just saying.
Last weekend I ran into a million zillion people I know - how traumatizing! It is nice to see people, but I was also wearing jeans, a ratty t-shirt, no makeup, and unbrushed hair in a pseudo-ponytail. I thought we would be dining in Yuppieville, and I have no need to dress to impress men in khaki shorts.
This weekend, I'm house-sitting. Well. Apartment-sitting.
It is about -2 degrees in this arctic square. Could the a/c be any lower? George must be having hot flashes again.
