myamphigory has already recounted our
capitalism-riffic adventures yesterday. I ended up with far more yarn than her (3.5 sweaters' worth), and two extremely cheap tops (70% wool sweater for $13 from Benneton! silk top for $18 from Banana!). I managed not to buy an iPod touch, which I may delay until midmonth, or buy at macmall later this week.
Today, I purchased a
Mr. Bento from Amazon. I am far, far too excited about this expensive lunchbox. Of course, so are the people involved in this
flickr pool.
Last night, Mr. Z and I stayed in and watched Shoot the Piano Player, which was as good as I remember it being. I've ended up with a lot of Truffaut and Godard movies; it's heresy to say so, but I might prefer the former to the latter. Also, I do not know what movies Anna Karina is in, nor who directed Jules and Jim, and should not be trusted on either matter.
On Friday, we watched There WIll Be Blood. Spoiler alert: there was blood. (There Will Have Been Blood?) Further spoiler alert: there was a reference made to milkshakes in the movie; because I'm a shut-in, I didn't know that references to this scene were widespread on the internets until
myamphigory (who has not yet seen the movie) told me so. Upon hearing that, I immediately realized that there was a TWBB-Kelis mashup.
I would like to thank the internet for having my back on this one. (And I must say, very well done!)
Other than that, I drink coffee, I work, I sleep, I play pub trivia. Not necessarily in that order.
